The trio of GT40s that dominated Le Mans in 1966 reunited at Goodwood Revival - Dunlop stand (no irony there) in the Earls Court Motor Show building.
We’re talking the black with twin silver stripes #2, the light blue with white stripes and red identification panels #1 car and the gold with fluorescent pink highlights #5.
Laps on track by the following legends:
Friday: André Lotterer, Benoît Tréluyer and Marcel Fässler
Saturday: Jimmie Johnson, HélioCastroneves and Scott Dixon
Sunday: Tom Kristensen, Derek Bell and Emanuele Pirro

Hi everyone,
I’m working on a portable folding chair concept designed specifically for motorsport spectators, especially for long race weekends like Le Mans.
After an initial round of feedback, I redesigned the concept to focus more on:
I’ve now created V2 and I’m looking for honest feedback from endurance racing fans. You do not need to have seen or completed the previous version.
The survey takes around 2–3 minutes:
If you did complete the earlier version, there’s a question at the beginning so I can separate the responses.
Critical feedback is genuinely the most useful, so feel free to be harsh.
Thanks!

I write for an Indie magazine and am doing a piece on luxury travel for these types of events. I know nothing about Le Mans outside of Ford Vs. Ferrari. Specifically looking for any insights of the vibe, perspectives of experiences, and food available. Would anyone be open to a quick interview? Bonus points if you have photos you're willing to share.

As the title says - I really need some help as I’m getting overwhelmed!
It’s my husbands 40th next year - and I’d like to surprise him with a trip to Le Mans 24hr in 2027.
My plan is to drive down - but I have a few questions.
Is it better to stay on site, or air b n b nearby? I’ve never in my life camped - but will do it if I have to (or more put a mattress in the back of the v90…)
If I stay nearby, is it better to stay in Le Mans or travel from further afield to the circuit for the race?
Ideally I’d like to public transport to the events - am I better tram over or is there better options? And does it run late at night on race day?
I’m planning on joining aco for pre sale - should I get grandstand tickets, or do we wander and find seats trackside?
When travelling down (from Scotland) any reccs on how to do the journey - over two/three days, where to stay etc welcome.
These may seem like straight forward questions but my racing knowledge is limited and I want him to have the best experience (within budgetary constraints).

Hey! I’m going to Silverstone this Saturday for ELMS, travelling from Cardiff. I don’t have a car, so my plan is to get there by public transport, but I’m a bit stuck on getting back after the race since it finishes around 7:30pm.
I was thinking of going Banbury → Cardiff, but the late trains from Banbury don’t seem great. I’ve also seen Milton Keynes mentioned as an option.
Has anyone done this journey before or have any advice on the easiest/least stressful way to get back to Cardiff? Are there any nearby train stations, coaches or shuttles from Silverstone that I could potentially consider?
Would really appreciate any tips! :)

After the long summer break, WEC goes to Texas and the ‘Circuit of the Americas’ (COTA). In September, the weather in the southern part of USA is unpredictable with either severe heat or rainstorms- so let’s see what happens.
This ‘Spotter Guide’ is for the 6-hour race, which takes place on Sunday 6 September.
The pictures shown below are lower resolution screengrabs. If you want a better quality for printing, I include a Dropbox link to a PDF version with higher resolution.
The cars which are constructed to the slightly different LMDh regulations (Alpine, BMW, Cadillac and Gemini) have a red frame around the car picture.

As above, last trip was 15 years ago pre kids and I’m planning a return next year. Last time we camped away from the track but went to the cafe on the Mulsanne straight on the Friday to watch cars do burn-outs followed by lunch at Arnage and then race Saturday to Sunday?
Planning on staying inside next year at Houx, but assume you can drive in and out as needed?
Has much changed otherwise?

About 4 months ago I renewed my ACO membership for the sole purpose of purchasing a collectors box for the 2024 race and I still haven't ever received as much as a tracking number. I've sent several courteous emails asking for an update but have stopped receiving answers to them, and when I call, the reps always tell me to expect an email soon after which I never receive. They have stock on-hand, so there is really no reason why I should be waiting this long.
I had a fantastic experience with the ACO club membership at the race I attended, so I'm holding off on losing my cool, but this is becoming a total farce. Has anyone had a similar experience, and if so, was there a way to escalate this? The box cost an arm and a leg, but the 2024 race has become sacred to me for personal reasons, so I am desperate to have my order fulfilled.

I can always watch reruns of Le Mans and last years season of "League of pigs", but what other channels do you recomend? Primarily with Le Mans in focus, but all motorsport oriented channels are welcome.
(Photo just for attention; I blame Elka the Elk)

No prizes for guessing the driver - however it’s a great blast from the past, and obviously the marketing department still believes there’s recognition and value 🏁

Purchased this when at the track this year, finally arrived just now.
Would I be right in saying the code indicates an LMP2 tyre that was possibly used on the #43 Inter Europol car?

I am STILL having the post-LeMans-depression. Is this normal, or am I a weirdo?
(In this case; I consider both alternatives as compliments)
