WEC Spotter Guide
WEC has now arrived in Spain for the penultimate race of the 2026 season. The last two races in Europe were not on the initial calendar, but the political and military situation in the Middle East, meant that WEC will finish the season in Barcelona and Monza.
This ‘Spotter Guide’ is for the 6-hour race, which takes place on Sunday 18 October.
Note that the programme for Saturday has a different running order because practice session 3 has been split between the two classes.
The pictures shown below are lower resolution screengrabs. If you want a better quality for printing, I include a Dropbox link to a PDF version with higher resolution.
Hypercars, built to the LMDh regulations (i.e. Alpine, BMW, Cadillac and Genesis) have a red frame around the car picture.

Advice/Guidance ACO membership worth it or not to secure 24h Lemans tickets?
Hello guys,
My friends and I (group of 5) are planning our very first trip to the 24 Hours of Le Mans next year.
I have been doing some research and found out that General Admission and Camping passes sell out in literally minutes during the general public sale.
Because of this, we are seriously considering buying the ACO Membership just to get access to the early presale. Is it really necessary or not worth it?

Advice/Guidance Stage de troisième ?
Bonjour,
On s'y prend à l'avance... Mon fils est en 4e et souhaite s'orienter vers :
- bac pro méca puis BTS puis FFSA
OU
- bac STI2D puis BUT méca puis FFSA
Merciiii

Advice/Guidance About Camping
Hello everyone! Me and a friend are planning our second trip to Le Mans from Spain next year after going in 2025, but this time we are leaning towards camping instead (just a car and a tent).
From your experience, what are the best camping sites? I’m thinking something close to the main track (Houx, Épinettes, Hippodrome) just based on walking distance, but what more is there to take into consideration? From what I’ve read there’s really not many differences between them. What do you value the most?
Also, what’s the difference between numbered and non-numbered pitches? Is there any benefit to either of them?
TIA!

Improvements Le Mans day trip & museum access
This post is intended more as a recommendation for visiting the city of Le Mans than for the race itself, but I think it will still be relevant to fans of this subreddit who are considering a visit to the circuit and museum.
Back in July, I spent a few days in Paris and happened to see some banners in the metro advertising the new Le Mans museum.
As a motorsport fan, it sounded like a great opportunity to see something a little different from the usual Paris tourist attractions, so I changed my plans and decided to take a day trip to Le Mans and visit the circuit museum.
Getting to Le Mans from Paris was incredibly easy. The city is connected by multiple trains each day, including both TGV and regular services. I would definitely recommend the TGV, as it takes roughly half the time.
The problem starts once you arrive in Le Mans.
The museum isn't particularly well connected to the city centre by public transport. There is a tram stop that gets relatively close to the circuit, but it's located along the Mulsanne Straight, quite a distance from the museum and the start/finish area. Interestingly, the museum's own website doesn't recommend getting off there either, instead suggesting Guetteloup–Pôle Santé Sud and walking from there.
So that's what I did.
The walk takes around 15–20 minutes and goes through a sort of back road between small industrial businesses and stores. There is very little shade, and in the July heat it was honestly not a particularly pleasant walk.
The museum itself has plenty of parking, and I understand that the vast majority of visitors probably arrive by car or motorcycle. However, given that the museum is advertised in the Paris Metro and that the Circuit de la Sarthe is an internationally recognised attraction throughout the year, I think the public transport connection could be much better.
To be clear, I'm not talking about race days or major events, when I understand the tram system does much of the heavy lifting. I'm talking about an ordinary day. I visited on a random Monday around noon, and there were still plenty of people at the museum.
The bus options aren't realistically better either, as they also leave you with roughly a 15-minute walk. But this seems like the easiest problem to solve. Routes 5, 10 or 21, for example, could potentially make a small diversion to serve the museum/circuit entrance. Even if that added only a few minutes to the route, it could make a significant difference for visitors arriving without a car.
Aside from that rather grueling access situation, I really enjoyed my visit. The museum and circuit were great, and Le Mans itself was a lovely city to explore.
Overall, I'd highly recommend it as a day trip from Paris, especially if you're a motorsport fan!

Planning for 2027 tickets
Hi all- any ideas on when the 2027 tickets get released? I think it was November when I last got them for 2025.
Also- ACO membership- any reminders on best way to play it? One membership gets 2 ticket access to the ACO lounge if I recall? TIA

Advice/Guidance Poster cut off on official Le Mans site?
Hello, I’m looking to get a 1989 poster and I noticed that compared to others (see second image), the one on the official site seems to be cut off at the bottom. Does anyone know if it’s actually like this, or just the image?

WEC Spotter Guide (Fuji)
After the heat at COTA, WEC has now arrived at the Fuji Speedway in Japan. The weather in Japan has changed to autumn with plenty of rain in the preceding weeks.
Fuji Speedway is owned by Toyota, and naturally, they hope that what happened at COTA won't be repeated here on their home turf.
My ‘Spotter Guide’ is for the 6-hour race, which takes place on Sunday 27 September.

Advice/Guidance Planning on going in 2028
I have a limited amount of time for some not fun reasons to go to Le Mans, Ive started saving for about 5000$ cad. Is this enough to be in Le Mans for the entire week for scrutineering, free practices, qualifying and the race with hospitality (likely camping but let’s face it who the hell is sleeping) is 5000$ feasible? Probably around 2000$ on getting there but I know my job gets me some flight discount benefits ecta.
If this isn’t enough I’d like to know before I can’t get there on that budget.
Cheers
