Short-Term Furnished Accommodation Needed Near UK Healthcare | Oct 28–Dec 6
Hiii! I’m an international medical student coming to the University of Kentucky Healthcare for a clinical observership, and I’m currently looking for accommodation from October 28 to December 6.
I’m looking for a furnished apartment, private bedroom, or extended-stay hotel with a budget of approximately $800–$1,500 for the stay. Ideally, the accommodation would include:
- Free Wi-Fi
- Private bathroom
- Kitchen or kitchenette
- Gym/fitness center, preferably
- Safe neighbourhood
- Walking distance to UK Healthcare — this is my main non-negotiable
If you have any recommendations or know of available options that fit these criteria, I would really appreciate your suggestions. Thank you! 😊

Walking distance to UK Healthcare with that budget and dates is tight, most extended stays near campus fill up fast for the fall semester

That price tag is too low. Best thing I can think of is Holiday Inn Express Downtown to be walking distance but there are no extended stays

There aren't really any hotels walking distance to UK unfortunately. Maybe look into the bus system, there are a ton of buses that drop close to campus

If you’re going to attempt to rent an apartment or room from afar by searching online, familiarize yourself with:

There are a lot of common rental scams that prey on people not being savvy with rental procedures. If you’re not using a local contact to assist you, be careful.
Best wishes on your studies

You’re probably going to have to check out AirBNB private bedrooms for that kind of budget and desiring walking distance
