guns My most fun gun

Here's my dad's old Ruger Mark II Target he picked up at a gun show years ago. It's a 1986 model and well worn. The stock grips were cracked when he bought it so he added the rubber aftermarket ones. I'll be replacing those soon as they're degrading.

I have Garands, ARs, assorted military surplus guns, and shotguns. The 22lr pistol is still the one I have the most fun with. Of all the guns I have, this one makes it to every range trip.

If you don't have a 22lr rifle or pistol, go get one and buy a carton (yes a carton) of ammo and shoot guilt free.

Are there any other reloaders here? If so, what are you loading?

The photos are from me testing a load of .308 on my XCR.

I've had my eye out for a deal on a P226-esque pistol for a while and came across this guy at my "local" gun shop. The price was too good to sleep on and I ordered it immediately.

I was very familiar with the Arex Zero 1s and 2s, and nearly purchased a Zero 1 a couple months ago for super cheap but thankfully I held off. This thing is just plain sexy in person. For those interested, this is a Steyr / Arex ATd compact. They also make a ported version which looks pretty slick!

guns Am I trying to do too much?

I’m suffering from hard core restless rifle syndrome and need to have some justification for my psychosis. I love the Huey, but not the battery life so I thought iron sights might be important. I went with the Scalarworks purely for vibes, but with the magnifier on the Vortex mount the Huey ends up barely on the handguard. Do I ditch the rear sight for a folding BUIS, go with magnifier or leave it alone?

This is purely a SHTF/range rifle, not a working one. I’m happy for any critiques.

Daniel Defense H9. Saw it used at my LGS for a decent price and said why not. Put about 100 rounds through it so far, no malfunctions and a pretty good shooter. Maybe if it goes a few hundred more rounds without issues I’ll pick up a holster for it.

She shoots competition in 6th grade, started in 4th and it’s time for a good gun. She is getting a syren elos elevate in 12. She has made it to nationals the last two years on her old hand me down 20 gauge so time for a big girl gun. See what Betty can do with it.

well the rule reinterpretation finally got me to pull the trigger.

the modularity and easy disassembly reeled me in. I know the versax has not the best reputation but I thought I’d give the newer rfx 22k revision a shot.

it functions well with the tk comet barrel just fine but even in the full configuration the jk armament rfx 22k is not the best performer sound wise. my only other experience is with a sparrow so I don’t have the most experience with 22 cans but id say if your after something ultra quiet look elsewhere.

I was shooting standard cci and remington.

i did pick up some federal 45 grain and I’ll try running it eet with Vaseline next outing.

I imagine this won’t be the last can however.

for the bots:

S&W Victory 22lr

Tandem Kross comet barrel.

Hey all!

Ahh Winter! The time of year when warm clothes means better coverage for your full-size carry!

While not technically full-size, the setup is obviously huge here on my SAR9c.

SilencerCo Spectre 9.

What about you? Does your carry change seasonally?

Let's see 'em!

It's just one HTML file. Feel free to download it for offline use.

Works great on a desktop or tablet. On mobile, I recommend switching to "Desktop Mode" for best experience.

20.84, clean run. Actually not the best time of the day but had the best splits on this one I think. Of course the 2011 guys all smoked me at sub 20, but I'll take what I can get.

Nice day out for a match. First cool one of the year and a lot of sun. Made up for my PCC dropping a fat shit and costing me a whoppin' 178 seconds that basically tanked my whole day.

question 300 BO suppressor with subsonic adjstbl gas block needed?

Hello, I'm still a newb to suppressors. I have a OCL Polonium for 556. The 556 is a pistol without an adjustable gas block. I tossed on an H3 buffer and have had no issues.

I'm wanting to do a 300 BO build as I'm very interested in the caliber as a "homestead" defense weapon. I'm leaning heavily towards the OCL Polonium 30 as the 556 version was pretty simple, and didn't give me any issues after the buffer swap.

Would a similar build work in 300 BO? I'm wanting to run subsonic. I have a few lowers that I've built out that would be fine. I'm looking at an upper in 8.5", and the gas block isn't adjustable. I'm pretty sure I could replace the gas block, but the buffer is a lot easier to do. Thanks for any feedback.

question Need a plinker: MkIV or 92FS conversion

So, I’d like to get a .22 plinker/target pistol to save a bit of money vs. 9mm at the range. Am I better off getting a Ruger MkIV, or the .22 conversion kit for my Beretta M9A1 (92FS)? Prices seem fairly close.

guns Trigger upgrade suggestions

Hey everyone,

I own a 9mm M&P 2.0. generally I love this gun, but something about the trigger just doesn't feel right.i can only describe the feeling as a bit soft and squishy, as opposed to being more crisp.

Can I get some upgrade suggestions?

discussion So, sbs plans now the rules have changed?

So, sbs plans now the rules have changed?

With the recent changes, i am looking at moding a few of my collection into sbs config. Been thinking a 14.5" 590m with top folding stock and cutting down a ati nomad to a 12 or 8" with birds head grip ( folding back pocket shotgun! ) would be fun. any one else thinking of taking some spares laying around ant getting a tad creative?
