Theory Was Loki touching the Time Stone in Episode 1 foreshadowing his ending?
In Season 1, Episode 1 of Loki, when Loki discovers the drawer full of Infinity Stones at the TVA, he picks up the Time Stone.
At the time, it seems like a pretty insignificant moment. The TVA treats Infinity Stones as completely useless paperweights, and Loki eventually puts it back.
But after watching the Season 2 finale, I started thinking about this scene differently.
By the end of the series, Loki becomes the God of Stories, sitting at the center of the multiverse and holding together its countless timelines.
Could Loki picking up the Time Stone in the very first episode have been intentional foreshadowing of his ultimate destiny?
The Time Stone represents control over time, while Loki ultimately becomes the one who preserves the timelines themselves.
Maybe it was just a coincidence, but looking back, the parallel is pretty cool.
Did the writers plan this from the beginning, or am I reading too much into it?

I like the idea of foreshadowing this far ahead, but the MCU Mutliverse Saga has been through so many rapid changes and redirects that I doubt much of the original "plan" is still intact.

Writing takes years and multiple layers of checks for it to go through. More often than not, this is foreshadowing. Albeit more like an afterthought from a writer or maybe Tom Hiddleston.

Imo it was probably to show that the infinity stones truly don't work in the TVA since no one can touch the time stone, not Dr Strange or Thanos. The time stone floats in between their fingers whenever anyone tries touching it.

To me what’s more interesting is that there’s currently 3 characters in the MCU with powers similar to an infinite stone. Captain marvel is power, Wanda (supposedly dead) is reality (and her powers are red), and Loki is time (with green powers, even when enchanting minds). Captain marvel doesn’t have a colour associated with her powers but she does have some parallels with witches powers colour wise. (Purple for active absorption…)

And marvel got her powers from the space stone, and yet she has power.

I never said it was intentional foreshadowing for sure. I just thought it was a cool parallel considering how Loki's story ended.

How is picking up a time stone with no powers foreshadowing of anything but someone picking up him with no powers?
His ending has literally nothing to do with infinity stones or time. He's in control of the multiverse. Not time.

Uh did you even watch the same show as everyone else or is this just rage bait? He’s literally holding the TIMElines of the multiverse. That were being woven together by the TEMPORAL loom which he is now replacing. And the power that allowed him to do all of this was learning how to control his TIME slipping. And in the final episode he even learns how to pause TIME. He’s very much in control of time.

I don’t know but it would be awesome if it was. I doubt this was intentional but I like how the time stone is green, and Loki’s main colour is green. A nice detail considering where he ends up.
