Looking for advice about Heaven Nightclub
Was hoping anyone here would have some advice about how to best approach the security here for an upcoming event I will be travelling to. š©µ

I tend to see a lot of posts asking for recommendations while in London. I've built up a list from the past 7-8 years from LGBT events or venues that I've genuinely enjoyed. I'm hoping that it will be helpful to everyone!
I'm also happy for others to comment and add their own favourites, so I can also add if relevant. Unfortunately can't include links for everything since Reddit doesn't allow "excessive links" š but Google is your friend.
Disclaimer: I'm a gay male so unfortunately I won't have much to contribute for LBT-specific spaces, however I will do my best based on what I've heard from friends. Again, happy to add suggestions from others.

My tennis club is organising a group outing to a Halloween party, and we're allowed to bring a +1. I'm still very new to the club - I've only been to four sessions so far - and none of the people I've met will be going.
I'd still really like to go, though, and I always enjoy meeting new people. So if you're also thinking of going out that night but don't particularly fancy going alone, maybe we could help each other out! :)
A bit about me:
I'm 32M, European, London-based and work in finance. I enjoy travelling, exploring different cultures, tennis, and generally a mix of indoor and outdoor activities. I'm pretty sociable and always happy to meet new people and make friends.
Who I am looking for:
Ideally someone roughly around my age (give or take 5 years), who fancies a fun and easy-going night out. I'm not treating this as a date - more a chance to meet someone new.
A few details about the event:
š Date & time: Friday, 30 October, from 9:30pm
š Event: Club Creep, North East London
š» Theme: Damsels and Demons ā I'm planning to go as a dark prince because demons aren't really my thing š
šļø Entry: Free between 9:30pm and 10pm, or Ā£10 after 10pm.
If this sounds like your kind of evening, feel free to drop me a message. Happy to chat beforehand and see if we vibe! š

Hey all! I'm part of the London Stags, a queer rugby club in South London, and we've got a touch rugby new members day this Saturday (24th Oct). It's non-contact mixed gender, so everyone's welcome. Rather than just dropping the event details, I wanted to share my own experience of joining.
I moved to London a couple of years ago and didn't really have any queer friends, apart from a few random hookups š Then one of the Stags' posts popped up on my Instagram, and right after Christmas I went along for a trial.
I'm not going to pretend I was confident about it.. I was overweight, I'd never played a team sport in my life, and the idea of joining a new team was really daunting. What scared me most was walking into friendship groups that had been around for years and never really feeling part of them.
On my first day, one of the existing members, Max, came over and asked how I was doing, whether it was my first time and if I knew anyone. He was incredibly sweet and made sure I felt comfortable.
Then training started. I'd never even held a rugby ball, but it was surprisingly not that hard to handle it and pass it around with the other newbies who'd joined the same day. Putting us all together was actually a really smart move by the club. It was easy to find people with the same anxiety I had, and much easier to bond when we were all starting from the same level.
By the end of it, rugby didn't feel like an impossible sport anymore, and the community around the club turned out to be so supportive. Now some of my best friends in London are from the club, and joining was one of the best decisions I've made since moving here.
If you're in London and any of that sounds familiar, come along on Saturday! You can find all the details on Instagram: @thelondonstagsrfc
Any questions, just drop them below or DM me :)

Hey everyone!
My tennis club is hosting an LGBTQ+ Halloween party, and we can bring a +1. I've recently come out and joined the tennis club, so thought I'd see if anyone fancies coming along!
A bit about me: I'm 32M, London-based, and enjoy travelling, exploring different cultures, and a mix of indoor and outdoor activities (tennis being one!). Always happy to meet new people and make friends!
Just looking for someone to enjoy the evening with, have a laugh, and hopefully make a new friend along the way!
If you're interested, feel free to drop me a message and we can have a chat beforehand! š
(Follow up on my initial message: the event is on the 30th of October, at the āClub Creepā (Northeast London), and theme is āDamsels and Demonsā⦠if you arrive anytime between 9.30pm which is the opening time and 10pm the entrance is free, otherwise after 10pm you have to pay Ā£10 on entrance)

Heyyooo!!
Iāve been living in London for about 9 years now, and honestly, Iāve found dating here surprisingly difficult. Between Hinge, Feeld and all the other apps... Grindr, I think the worst, can't even call it a dating app... sometimes feel like Iām putting myself out there but not really getting anywhere.
I actually had a really lovely relationship for around 8 months, but unfortunately it came to an end because we both decided to take in a different direction. As hard as it was (and still is sometimes) to accept, I think ultimately we both made the right decision. :)
So now Iām trying to be a bit more intentional about meeting people in real life rather than relying entirely on dating apps.
Does anyone have any recommendations for good places, groups, events or communities in London where you can actually meet people, hang out, make friends and maybe even go on a date? š Iād love somewhere that feels natural rather than the usual āeveryone is here specifically to dateā situation.
A little about me: Iām 27, originally from Europe, pretty active, love the gym and running, reading, travelling, a good Spotify playlist.. so music!!, and Iām always up for a great film or TV show. Iām also very much a coffee + good conversation person + wine ofc
Would love to hear your recommendations, especially places where youāve actually met nice people! ā¤ļø

ā ļø Trigger Warning: Suicidal Thoughts
Final call for participants | Survey closes on 23rd October
I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has engaged with and shared this research so far. I'm incredibly grateful for the openness, honesty, and courage people have shown in sharing their experiences. Your voices are helping to highlight an area that is too often overlooked. š
As part of my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology research, I am exploring the experiences of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and queer adults who have experienced suicidal thoughts but have not accessed therapy or counselling for them.
I am now making a final call for participants before data collection closes on 23rd October.

Hello! My girlfriend and I are traveling to London at the end of the month and will be there over Halloween. Itās my first time in the UK so I donāt know whatās what for the queer scene. Any recommendations for drag shows going on that weekend or events that we should attend?
r/londonlgbt • u/AstrologyBoyfriend • 3d ago
Iām 35 M (but get IDād so look quite young) and Iām hoping to make some LGBT friends. Most of my friends are straight men and women.
I can talk about anything and everything, Iām open to learning about your niche interests. Nicher the better.
I am mostly into building things( furniture, robots ), shopping ( I love shopping days - I skip work for an afternoon shopping trip at least once a week lol ), hosting dinners at home and going out for dinners too.
Went to Cambridge and Oxford if you want to reminisce about our old colleges. Work in tech.
I used to game but my job and gym have nearly killed it. However, I am sure I can join you for a gaming night.

Hey loves,
we are INFERNO, a trans-led queer party thatās been happening in London for nearly 12 years.
Our Halloween rave is happening in two weeks, so I thought Iād introduce it here because I know loads of people are currently figuring out what theyāre doing.
INFERNOāWEEN: Blood & Glamour
Friday 30th October
11pmā5am
The Distillery N17
One of the things Iāve been thinking about recently is how important queer nightlife was for the team when we first moved to London. It was where we got to dress up, experiment with who we wwere, meet other trans and queer people and feel seen.
That club-kid culture has always been a huge part of INFERNO and weāre really trying to protect it.
So Blood & Glamour is basically an excuse to turn a look. Couture, drag, charity-shop DIY, goth, glamour, something made out of bin bags or just wearing something slightly more outrageous than you normally would. Thereās no dress code and nobody is going to be turned away for not dressing up.
Weāll have hard dance all night from DOLLAXIS, GODDESS, Nadine Noor, Putas Vampiras and myself, with a performance from S0L.
And if youāre nervous about coming alone, please donāt let that stop you. Loads of people come to INFERNO solo and we put a lot of work into making it feel welcoming. We will also be hosting a social at COVEN on the Monday before. You can DM us on Instagram inferno_London for more info.
Would also love to know: what are people dressing as for Halloween this year? we need inspiration š

I wanna try Roast sometime, but for me the main deterrent is the fact that I, like most people, don't live in Central London so I'd need to spend over 2 hours commuting (night busses are very slow as we know), maybe 3 hours if I'm unlucky just to get home.
This applies for clubbing in general I guess, but I feel like I'm missing out on so much of the night scene due to this.
How do people typically deal with this? Do they leave at 2 am and hope to reach by 4-5 am (and nuke their sleep schedules). Do they stay at a friend's with nearby accomodations?
It's something I just wanted to inquire about since it seems to elude me.

Heard twice in recent weeks that it's been quieter than expected. Have people had their fill, or is there another hot Club night soaking up attention?

hey all! Iām a lesbian from the states and Iām studying in Rome. Iāll be in London for the first time this weekend for the La Seraphim concert (spelling?) with my bestie. Thing is my friend is not clubbing or partying person but I really want to experience some of the London clubbing/party scene. Would it be in safe to go out drinking alone? Is there any queer bars/clubs near Canary Wharf or the O2 arena? Anyone want to go with me?
