OC Action Mile 1000? ๐Ÿ‘€

I got my first board ever around July 2025. I used it to skate to classes, but never really skated for more than a mile or two at a time. In march of 2026, I first discovered the sport of LDP, and was hooked ever since! I researched everything I could, found local and not so local ldp events, and reached out to some amazing people in the LDP community.

I was super bummed that a large portion of the Atlanta longboarding scene has died out, so I set out on a mission to collect as many local boarders as I could to meet up and cruise around! There are only a couple of skaters I consistently meet up with, but Iโ€™m super grateful for this niche, but amazing community.

With that being said. Iโ€™m coming up on a milestone that Iโ€™m super proud of. One that has not come without blood, sweat, and tears. Iโ€™m hoping to celebrate my 1000th mile milestone this Sunday at an open streets event! Itโ€™s truly been an amazing ride, and I canโ€™t wait for the 10,000 more miles to come!

Nope. For ldp, a lot of riders like to use really big wheels (85-100mm) because they roll over much rougher terrain and they conserve momentum a lot better than smaller wheels. This makes huge wheels super efficient if youโ€™re just pushing straight ahead nonstop!
