Gear Show-Off Board got ran over :(
Was crossing at a crosswalk (supposed to) and a car sped up right as I was about to pass them (I was already halfway through)
Had to bail like 4 inches from the car to not get hit, but I didn't get hurt at least. Rip the commuter setup

I vote for drilling new holes and running it again (with a new front truck, if necessary).

Sorry that happened. Happened to me with an irreplaceable board years ago except I actually got hit from behind by the car.

That's a pretty and very functional longboard. I'm not a speedboarder by any means, and I've never seen one in the flesh, but have come to appreciate Rayne's triplane rocker, which definitely looks "inspired" by SF's. I'd probably glue and glass the crap out of that B2H and ride it again 😢

I had a similar expirence when I was young with my friend except the car slammed on his breaks. Dude gets out and is the most muscular tower of a man ive ever seen. He proceeds to grab my friends board in a fit of rage and slam it against the ground, which was kind of funny cause I think the vibrating wood hurt his hands more than the board. He tosses the board aside looks at us and we mumble out "were 16 dude wtf" I think his rage dropped and he got back in his car and sped off.

Any way to file a report? Pieces of shit will see you crossing and then gun it. That could have easily been YOU split in half

Oh yeah I got the plate and they paid me for the deck. I should've included that part. Trucks and everything else is fine and the pd was super fast (whole thing took like 1.5 hrs.) A cop came out and acted like the liason between us.
I did not press charges because I do believe that it is possible that the driver didn't realize they went over my board (they ran it over with the back wheels in an suv with a really good suspension so I saw the lack of movement in the cabin). Also, no (real) harm (to me) no foul and they also said they didn't see me (which I also believe bc there are some poorly placed trees there)
If I had gotten hit it would've been below 25; they weren't speeding, just accelerating after the girl in front of me crossed1

Anything that puts other people at risk, even if in the wrong, is a shit move. But if OP was walking or rolling on the board while crossing, makes a difference if you gonna press charges, at least where I live. If not pedestrian but on bike, board, scooter etc, cars have preference even on crosswalks.
Edit: guess downvotes are for the first sentence. The rest isn't an opinion.

Where I live, if pedestrian is at crosswalk, you stop. They don’t have to be into the road yet. They’re waiting at the crosswalk for a reason, therefore you stop

I saying that you have to be a pedestrian to cross with preference. If not on foot, the cars has preference. Not sure how to misread what I wrote, but more power to you.

I'm from Texas where boards are considered "sidewalk users" and you need to stop for them by state law. Bikes can actually also be sidewalk users under some circumstances lol

So you can ride the sidewalk on board or bike, and just turn 90° to use the crosswalk without warning? Or running for that sake? Because that's a bit wild. But guess Texas is wild either way.
Even when in the right, soft tissue will usually loose, so we can be right and wrong at the same time out there.
Stay safe and hope you get a second life out the board.

I guess? But that's not what happened, it's a maybe 50 foot crosswalk with bike lanes on both sides of intersecting traffic and I wasn't going faster than like a jogging speed. Also it's moreso that texas doesn't really have any state laws regarding skateboards/longboards as far as roadway/pedestrian laws go

Mine got run over once upon a time, it was a sentimental deck so I did the same thing and fixed it for wall art, then transferred the components to a new deck.

Happened to a favorite of mine in college. I’m sorry for your loss. The board can be replaced, your life cannot. I wish you well and hope you’re able to get another board soon.

Just get G-bomb Glass Drop’s at that point, Z brackets are known to do this without being run over.

Re drill holes for it line it up with the trucks on the back re shape a nose it might be shortened but can skate still just new shape.
