Melanie Bracewell is such a great comedian

It's honestly so weird to me that someone who was "Tumblr" famous when I was in high school is now regular famous in her own right, and not as some kind of internet personality. But a legit comedian/presenter, and a great Taskmaster contestant.

I saw her on QI when I went to a taping of it, she was great and it was funny realising she was the one in the banana image afterwards.

That shirt is a crime. Gus Fring wouldn't show his face anywhere near that. He's a legitimate businessman.

it's like the chaos emeralds, who's got freddie and chica
5
u/ElkInternational5407 1h ago
I only found these two online. I don't think there is one with a Freddy or a Chica Plush 😔
1
u/Rich_Coffee_9962 1h ago
time to fix that, get conan o brian that freddy plush
1
u/AydonusG 52m ago
Jim Carrey or Adam Sandler for Chica.
Or do we give Chica to Andy Richter? Since Conan has Freddy
2
u/Rich_Coffee_9962 47m ago
richter for chica would be good, but I'd give it to Guy Fieri for the lols
1
u/AydonusG 46m ago
We do want Chaos. We've got Calm Chaos, Zany Chaos, and Sassy Chaos (Conan), so why not Flavour Chaos?

It is understandable that he’d rather stand close to the furry than the clone trooper, given his allegiance

Giancarlo Esposito will play Spamton in A Deltarune Movie with co-stars Jack Black (Kris), Susie Waterfall Deltarune Gaster (Susie) Jason Momoa (Ralsei), Sydney Sweeney (Toriel), Jenna Ortega (Dess), Jim Carrey (Tenna) and Patrick Warburton (Sans)
3
u/brainiacveins 45m ago
This felt like a good casting, but it really peaked with Warburton as Sans
/uj Id actually kill for Warburton as Sans

Aw dang, imagine assuming that for 30 years to get emoji'd by a stranger. Glad I didn't tell him that in person. Although I bet he would have been polite and had heard it before.

u/creampop_ 1h ago
No no, if you ever see him please do hit him with that and let us know what he says.
he's a great actor, after all.

u/Pizzatore12 1h ago
Yep, the surname Esposito comes from Napoli, where is father was from
5
u/Singvlars 1h ago
Its funny because esposito in spanish is the endearing diminutive of esposo which means husband

Nobody knows where he came from. There is complete lack of a paper trail in Chile before 1986. The poor record-keeping, corruption, and human rights abuses of Augusto Pinochet's military dictatorship makes it impossible to find any real identity he might have.

u/sheetset 1h ago
Giancarlo isn’t really a hispanic name
2
u/Singvlars 1h ago
TBF in some Latin American countries its common to mash the parents names together to form a first name for their kids
Gian + Carlos= Giancarlo
1
u/sheetset 34m ago
yes, Gian isn’t a spanish/hispanic spelling. it’s pronounced differently
and gian and carlos in LA would be Juan Carlos, not one name. i mean people can spell their kids names however
3
u/No-Molasses-6475 33m ago
I envy the non Spanish speakers because they didn't have to suffer his horrible "Spanish" in BCS and BB.
But to be fair, that's Gilligan's fault. It's not the only character in his works with that flaw.

This is a man who loves his job
56
u/LilaTheMoo 2h ago
Dude was struggling constantly as an actor UP until he got the role in Breaking Bad. He was literally considering arranging his own murder to provide for his family because he just wasn't making it as an actor. That show changed his entire life. That's conviction. Hell yes he loves his job, he risked everything to get where he is.
20
u/TheModWhoShaggedMe 2h ago
Laypeople tend to assume an actor lands one decent role (Buggin', Do The Right Thing) and they're set for life when he probably earned far less than 100k (which doesn't last too many years).
1
u/ClubMeSoftly 1m ago
And he only got a return role on Breaking Bad because he developed an intense, massive backstory for "owner of a chicken shop" and managed to pique the curiosity of the producers into making him a main antagonist.
Which he, of course, then managed to spin into that villain role that he enjoys and does so god damn well.

The demographic of teenagers and young adults who were making brain rotted Breaking Bad memes are the same ones who own several fumos

I love how he keeps on the serious emotionless evil businessman persona in most of these, it feels like people are getting photos with the actual Gus Fring
16
u/QueenViolets_Revenge 1h ago
it's sad that he's been pigeonholed into playing corrupt businessmen, and villains in general, after Breaking Bad, because he's such a sweet guy and such a good actor, and i feel like he needs more non villainous roles

u/voracious-ladder 28m ago
His comedic sides are genuinely underrated. He voiced Lex Luthor (sure another evil business man but it's a parody) in the Harley Quinn show and the whole Lex Luthor as a lookmaxxing alpha male influencer thing was so funny. They had to change the voice actor in the last season unfortunately due to scheduling issues and that's a real shame because Giancarlo Esposito really managed to voice him in a really goofy comedic way that the new voice actor couldn't imo
2
u/HighlyOffensive10 18m ago
He's so good at playing a villian though. Some actors actually like those characters

I kinda want those shoes in the last picture. Like, cartoonishly large and puffy just like that

u/I-Have-An-Alibi 1h ago
He's such a nice person irl. He's always super nice and gracious to fans and reporters too. It's funny because he plays a stone cold psycho or killer so damn well lol
I absolutely loved every moment of him as Moff Gideon in Mando, totally stole every scene.

They're going to paint a kid named finger. You should not be fingering kids

This reminds me that my old man negative trait is thinking people in fur suits are cringe and sad.
I know they're not and they have more fun in a suit then I'll have for the rest of my life. But I can't get it through my old man brain that fur suits are okay.
Maybe as an IT guy I'm in a fur suit closet and I haven't realized it yet.

Can someone explain the "kind named finger" thing to me? The joke seems off, like should it be
"Alright class, today we're gonna finger paint"
cut to
"Kid named paint"?
Fucked up joke; in the same vein as the Animaniac's "finger prints" vs "finger Prince". A pun.

Shouldn’t it be “kid named paint”? Am I missing a subtler joke?

Yup, that's the joke. The joke is that they put the wrong one.
