Visiting Lublin and Sobibor
Hi All:
Apologies in advance for not speaking Polish. I am an American and will be visiting Poland next month and want to visit the Sobibor Museum and Memorial. I will be staying in Lublin part of the time and want to know the best way to get to Sobibor from Lublin. Is it really car rental/car hire? It doesn’t seem that there is a train that goes there. If I have to do a car rental/hire for a day, I will do it but welcome other opinions on other options!
Also open to places to eat/have a beer in Lublin.

By train you can go easily from Lublin to Chełm, but Chełm-Włodawa trains run in summer only. If you want to avoid car rental you can get on a bus from Lublin to Włodawa, that's how locals travel mostly.
https://dworzeclublin.pl/dla-pasazera/rozklady-jazdy-komunikacji-zamiejskiej/ first link on the page, search for "Włodawa"
And after that you have ~15 km from Włodawa to Sobibór. There's a bus service provided by Włodawa county, but it's not running on weekends:

If you couldn't make it in time, you can get by taxi, but I'd expect costs about 100 zł for a ride there and back to Włodawa.
