Work in Progress My comic Death-Toll . Some panels and pages (it’s my first comic book so I’m getting better at the panel (angles?)

This is super unorganized but it’s kinda like a spawn meets sin city story.

Trying to figure out how to fit the speech bubbles and context boxes into my pages.

I’m actually close to dropping the first issue. Hope this community is a positive one that supports and encourages people. I know I will.

Hey man, I've been enjoying seeing your progress for what's gotta be months now haha.

For speech bubbles, and I'm no letterer so grain of salt and all that, but generally you want the bubbles pointed at the mouth or at least head. The second bubble on the last slide is close, but lack of real font isn't ideal. Very difficult to read. I'm also not a fan of the font you're using on that last pic.

Also worth noting, the guy's dialogue is very expositive, and is telling us the readers something we presumably saw him doing earlier. I'd consider shortening it. When a character is talking about more then one thing in one panel, or if it would make the drama better, it's best to cut the dialogue into two balloons right next to one another. It's like a comma but for visuals. reduces clutter etc

That’s just a rough to see what fits and if it can be done in two panels. It’s been about 7 months since I started this lol. I’m just having trouble with finding out how to put the origin story with all the details in one panel or one page.
The second issue is going to be much easier because it’s mostly “Andrew Blair as the Scorned, starting his mission from hell. Killing his first mark for MalDeus… and a couple flash backs “ end… issue 3 coming soon.

But there’s so much that needs to be said to set the tone for my world….
It’s really overwhelming yknow?

But thanks for the advice and feedback! I’m going to save your comment to add to my good advice list that I often go back to, to see how to make the panels look right.

Any tips on turning a script into speech bubbles is super helpful for me right now. I think I just changed a finished page to make it explain more about the mafia and the time and world.

It’s all slowly starting to make sense to me and I’m starting to understand how to put the story in my mind, on the pages. But I’m a perfectionist, lol, if I release a comic book then I want it to be as cool as possible with an intriguing story.

But again, I appreciate you watching the progress and adding any tips or suggestions you have .

If you’re ever interested I’d be down to swap scripts and trade feedback. Some people like keeping it private though so it’s whatever you want haha. I’m always looking for more eyes on mine 😉

As long as we can both agree to keep it private between us, I’m definitely down for that!
