“Land of the free and home of the brave” on top of a bunch of charred corpses is certainly a deliberate choice

War being in love with America and people cheering for countries getting nukes is also a deliberate choice. America holding a large portion of Gun devil and the statue of Liberty housing weapon devils is also something.

Fujimoto always stuck me as a bit of an ameriboo with how much he's in love with Hollywood so i really wasn't expecting him to all of a sudden go this hard on the critique of their warmongering

Actually based

Even if he's doesn't mean to critique their warmongering, the concept of wars and weapons and especially nuclear bomb is so intrinsically tied to USA at this point I can't see it not happening.

You can like Americans and American art while saying the country is the single widest reaching source of evil on earth today.

I don't get yall, i'm just stating my surprise, not making any kind of statement on it being contradictory or anything

I guess i'm just the village idiot for not having figured out that Fujimoto hated america, my bad guys

He's just like Kojima dude. He's criticizing America warmongering exactly because he love American media, if you pay attention to American media landscape you will notice a lot of internal criticism, even Star Wars was allegory of Vietnam War. You have to be a world-class idiot if you consumed American media and missed the recurring theme.
