A hundred odd players, all living in the bounds of 6k x 6k world. Nations have been built, and countless lives lived.

Over the course of the past several months, this Minecraft server has been running, entirely without admin rules and restrictions, using a series of simple plug-ins to force its players to explore and make connections.

Without admin intervention, rules and laws are all player driven. Whether people grief or build societies was all up to them. Fighting over limited resources and land, wars have happened, all documented by the players themselves in a self-ran and written wiki.

Just recently, during a player-created comedy show, the lead comedian, a player named ChrisThunderfart was assassinated, and the responsible nation was wiped out, almost entirely. Other well documented land disputes and wars between players have happeneds continuously. Players have created laws, towns, and transportation networks using ice roads.

Without restrictions, anyone can make history.

No this is actually debatable

Now THIS is an actually debatable question

I'm just learning how to make beautiful maps of countries. My very first job.

Can you guess where I'm from?

I have been trying to look at all maps of a historic lake in upstate NY. I have long been a subscriber to GAIA GPS, typically for hiking purposes and identifying public/private land. I was surprised to find that PastMaps held more than a dozen digitized antique maps of the NY State area than GAIA GPS, as I always always believed GAIA was the gold standard.

I realize one can be better than the other depending on the application and intended use, but can anyone with experience in both state their pros/cons?

Lastly, is there any service you know of beyond GAIA and Pastmaps.com that I should mine in order to get every possible resource out there ?

Thanks in advance for any effort here.

My fixes for the Balkans
this map might solve some issues might create new ones

Posible new disputes
1: Bosnia is split into two: could create east Bosnia and West Bosnia or we could have east Bosnia become part of Serbia and west under Croatia or both under Serbia.
2: There is a Turkish Exclave between Bulgaria and Romania: A possible solution is to make the northern Turkish exclave its own nation.
3: There is a Hungarian exclave in Romania: Again it might be better to make it its own nation or as a Romanian province/territory/vassal with special rights

Guess

Hello!

Yemen's front lines barely moved for years. Then this autumn the Houthis pushed down the Red Sea coast, and the government hit back with Saudi air support.

I put it all on one map, from 2014 to now, and ended on one question: will Saudi Arabia send its own troops in?

Current as of 17 October; the maps are approximate. Feedback welcome!
