📚PLE MARCH 2027 PLE
Hello docs. Mas mahirap po ba talaga ang March PLE compared to October? Kinakabahan ako sa comments eh hahahaha help ya gal out 🥹

Good day everybody! I hope you’re all doing well. I highly encourage all the newcomers and veterans of r/medschoolph to engage in the posts below before posting your question to our subreddit.
Of course, take everything with a grain of salt, but I really do believe that this subreddit can be a really great resource for aspiring Filipino doctors to make more educated decisions about their future—especially if they don’t have access to this type of information otherwise.
The main FAQ post is still linked here of course! (credit to u/bananabread909 <3) Again, please read through it before making a post on this subreddit.
NMAT
Financial Advice
Tuition ESTIMATES (Disclaimer: Please use these figures as guides, but not gospel. These figures may be different due to inflation, year level, etc.)
I do plan to update this post with more megathreads in the future. I also want to reserve this masterlist for the “bigger” reddit threads, which is why you don’t see the ipad questions here, etc (again pls check the FAQ thread). Best wishes in med school! 🐶

Hi doctors! i recently failed PLE and it was my 2nd already. I am scared to to risk my 3rd. Should I take this March or prep for October 2027?
Honestly, felt so burned out lately. I gave my all. When I saw my rating I was just 0.5 away from passing.
I need advice pls

For March 2027 PLE takers, especially those who can only afford ONE review center, can we have an honest discussion about the pros and cons of ExpertMD (EMD) vs. Topnotch (TN)?
Which subjects do you think each review center excels in? If you could pick and choose, which subjects would you take under TN and which under EMD based on their respective strengths?
Let us keep the discussion objective, no need to bash either institution, just looking for honest, specific feedback from actual reviewees, especially those who already took the recent PLE. Let's help fellow March 2027 takers make an informed decision before spending their hard-earned money. 🙏 Salamat gid!

Hi! I just wanted to get a general idea of the board rating distribution for the October 2026 PLE takers.
This won’t be representative of the entire batch, but I thought it would be interesting to see the results since PRC doesn’t publicly release the full distribution.
No pressure to participate, of course. Congratulations to everyone who passed!

Hello! Requirement ba yung grades of 1st semester to apply for APMED in feu-nmrf?
May deadline ba ang feu-nmrf for APMED?

I’m planning to apply to St. Luke’s, and I just want to ask a few questions:
I would really appreciate your insights, as they would help me decide whether to pursue medicine at St. Luke’s. If not St. Luke’s, could you also suggest other med schools, preferably within QC or Metro Manila, that provide good preparation for the PLE and offer quality training in both theoretical knowledge and clinical skills?
Thank you in advance po!

As for me, unfortunately, kasama ako sa mga hindi pinalad this cycle. HAHAHAHA.
To be fair, expected ko na talaga na Patho and Biochem ang hihila pababa ng grades ko after the first week. HAHAHAHA.
Siguro one of the biggest lessons I learned from this experience is to believe in myself more. Looking back, ang harsh ko pala sa sarili ko even before the review season started.
But life goes on. I’ve made peace with the result, and right now, I’m choosing to move forward, heal, and give myself the grace I probably should’ve given myself from the start.
See you all soon sa other side, mga Doc! Babawi tayo. ❤️🩹

Hello! How’s your PGI experience at DLSMC so far? How’s the workload, the schedule, and the overall environment there? Is the duty schedule manageable, and do you still get enough time to rest? I’m currently considering DLSMC for PGI, so I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience and any insights you can share. Thank you so much!

Malayo ang field ko sa healthcare but I was always interested in science. I've been researching about med school for a while now kahit na alam kong financially di naman kami capable for me to go straight to studying med after taking my bachelors. Anyway, I'm curious bakit online ang NMAT tinetake? Hindi ba ang dali magcheat online kahit proctored pa yan because of the tech advancements we have nowadays and honestly there's this fear din kasi to not do anything risky kapag in person exams so bakit hindi conducted ftf ang NMAT? I think mas convenient rin kapag ganon since you won't have to worry about internet issues and device issues as well. It's also intimidating kapag you're in front of a screen taking the test kasi your eyes can't even wander around since you might get accused of doing something wrong.

Nag quit ako kasi main reason is yung healh ko parang d sya kaya sa ganon ka fast paced self learning na tlaga sya at wala ka na tlagang buhay outside world kasi yung weekend mo is for Anatomy Coloring Label mga activity and may mga Unecassary activitirs tlaga may comics may podcast , pede na sana yung time na yun for bawi of sleep and Re study the topics and also advance reading also Wala din ako proper routine wala din akong Proper way pano tlaga mag aral like ginagaya gaya ko lng yung iba nakiiita ko na Mag practice test ka muna tska kana lang magbasa and also d ko masyado trip tlaga magbasa ng marami more on yung Biology pa ako more on youtube tlaga po ako and yun burnout tlaga po ako sobra and also FIRST TIME KO MALAYO SA PAMILYA KO (homesick ako lagi) d ko alam ano talaga gagawin ko now na nag quit ako

Good evening, Doctors! Please let’s help each other, or help ME LOL. Kinda lost with this whole thing. I just want to prepare all the stuff while waiting sa oath. :) Or crash course for this. Thank you so much! 🫡

As my name suggests. I expected to take the boards by 2027. I started med school thinking that luck won't be by my side. Graduated on time pero still wanted to take the boards by 2027 because I didn't think I was ready.
But you know what, the PLE is just an exam you can retake. There is no use in delaying.
Now here I am! A doctor! And to be honest, I think I'm a great doctor! Beyond exams and academics. I think I excel where it matters most.
I'm going to keep being a great doctor, just waiting for my license this December.
To everyone having second thoughts, it's going to be okay if you fight for it. Fight for what is right. Don't study for exams, study for your future patients.

Hello it's me your local lost clerk nanaman hahaha this time I'm feeling lost about where to apply for PGIship, di nga ako makapili kung public or private. May insights ba kayo from the other side docs?
Also some more specific questions. Is it true na private hospi residents/consultants are more hands on sa pagturo sa PGIs compared to public resis? Will I really miss out on skills/experience if I choose a private hospital over a public one?
Thank you so much docs!

I would like go ask if a minor offense on my good moral will affect my medschool application. The reason on why I got the offense was I left my bag in the library and when I came back the student disciplinary office took it. Please lmk your thoughts since I’ve been overthinking about this. Thanks. 🙏🏻

Pharma Testosteron Enantat , single-use breaking ampules. No medical advice asked!
I don’t ask for medical advice. Just a good practice share how to do a day-to-day task more efficiently.
I don't get it. Sometimes when I drew a syringe, it flows slowly up with no bubbles at all.
Same box, different day, not change in method or setup at all and the oil gets sucked up with nearly only bubbles, nearly foam.
Super annoying to get the right dose. Especially if you need to drew up 2 from one ampule.
How can I prevent this?

Honest take on CDB (Cracking D' Boards) vs TN and EMD?
Hi, mga docs! 👋
I’m a licensed MD (passed 5 years ago). I want to help a friend who is prepping for the PLE but currently getting anxious about her review center.
During my time, Topnotch (TN) and CDB were the big names, and ExpertMD (EMD) was relatively new. I did TN + EMD back then and passed. However, my friend is a retaker. She took TN for her 1st and 2nd takes, switched to EMD on her 3rd, and now decided to try CDB for this upcoming season. She already enrolled in CDB, but have few dilemmas:
I tried searching here, but most discussions from the last 6 months are about TN and EMD feedback. CDB used to be very popular during my time, but I rarely see posts about them now.
Would love to get your honest, recent insights on CDB’s current setup, system, and how they handle their online/hybrid students to help my friend. Thank you so much, docs!
