AI solving math problems that have stumped humans for decades

The major problem with AI solving math problems is that, as Terrence Tao puts it, they're just brute forcing it. The idea of millenium problems is to come up with new techniques and even fields to solve them, if the problems difficulty were a matter of computational power then it'd be pointless to come up with the prizes and recognition. They'd just be used as litmus test for new gen computers. Another big issue is, as someone else already wrote, it's a blackbox, they say they solved it and show partial proof that even if correct lacks some parts necessary for progressing a field

Explanation: Al has recently been solving complicated math problems that have stumped mathematicians for decades.
Many mathematicians are critical of Al's methods.
The meme is from the film "Throw Momma from the Train" in which Larry (Billy Crystal) plays a writing professor, who is working on a book throughout the film in which he has trouble finding the right words for an opening sentence. He keeps coming up with "the night was hot"
"the night was humid", "the night was damp"
"the night was moist" but everything he comes up with sounds lame.
Finally, at the end of the film, the woman pictured, who is Owen's (Danny DeVito) mother (who Owen has been trying to get Larry to murder for him) tells Larry that the line he is looking for is "the night was sultry".
Larry, realizing how perfect that was, is becomes infuriated at how she came up with that so effortlessly when he had been struggling throughout the entire film to do so.

Didn't ai plagiarised the papers of various mathematicians in an attempt to "solve" said problems?

Does it solve them or just say it solves them? From my experience with AI it is a pathological liar.

For anyone actually interested in math and not sure about how they will be affected by a future with AI, I strongly suggest watching this new 3blue1brown video. https://youtu.be/LKrwhjOI8Nc

Allegedly solving. Those papers are still being peer reviewed.
