I can tell when a commentation about human body is meant to critique said character making that comment, or just to excuse "normal" pervert behavior of both the author and character, for the truth hidden under the skin cannot be falsified. Viewing women as "set of boobs that may have personality" is always gross.                  

There is lots of context in this book but it really doesn't help. In fact it's genuinely worse when you have the full context
