My transcript shows I received credit for BIO 115 from getting a 5 on the AP exam. Does this mean I need to take BIO 116? Biology major

Do they still have a DARS report? I’d check that and it should tell you. Or check the requirements for your major

Only covers BIO 116

Advisor at Miami - AP bio never transfers in as BIO 115, only BIO 116. Can’t give you advice on whether you should still take BIO 116 or not, that depends on your major and projected career path.

My advisors first available appointment is in the middle of November. Should I email her or go to the drop in hours for advising? I am not a pre med bio student.

Are you a biology/zoology/botany major? If so, you need to take BIO 115. If not, you don’t need BIO 115.

Are you in Oxford or the regionals? That impacts when classes are offered.

What classes are you in now?

I'm at Oxford as a Biology major. Currently I'm in Honors Chemistry & Lab, Intro to Cell Biology, Art, Conspiracy Theory Honors writing class and  Biology Intro Seminar.

Okay, then do BIO/MBI 115, CHM 142/145, STA 261 (or a math depending on if you’re a BA or BS), and a Miami Plan or Foreign Language.

Thank you. I have met all my math requirements and only need 2 more of my miami plan requirements. Right now, I planned out for Spring BIO 115H, CHM 142H/145, BIO 209 and ATH 185.
