I hope not. The mandated civics requirement is bizarre but since it came from our Neanderthal legislature, it’s not surprising.

I could ask the prof, but I know one of the topics is how to use mathematics to detect gerrymandering. That doesn't seem to match the philosophy behind the civics class.
