Too mild for school My stepdad keeps putting these things all over the house

He refuses to believe that they're a scam despite showing multiple videos of people testing them and ripping them open and showing that it's legit just an led light. It started with just 1 before I went on a small trip. I come back and there's 3 more around the house

My sister is the type that believes that connecting to her home WiFi will give her phone a virus. She also refuses to update her phone apps and she has like 40 permanent notifications to update her apps.

She was born in the 90s. I've given up trying to explain this to her. It's like I'm talking to a brick wall. It's fucking exhausting. She can do whatever she wants, it's not my job to teach her.

With a really out-of-date phone OS that she never updated, and an insecure internet connection, that could potentially be true, but I doubt her "reasoning" is actually so informed or coherent, otherwise she'd update the damned phone.

She still uses cellular though and her home router is more than secure enough.

She doesn't use her home WiFi because she read some article that said that PUBLIC WiFi networks are not secure, so now she thinks her private home WiFi is not secure either.

She's the kind of person who reads an article and completely misunderstands the whole thing or she clings onto some little snippet out of context and gets hyper-fixated on it.

I've tried helping her, but it's honestly a lost cause. She sees threats everywhere and she gets super paranoid about the smallest things. I try not to get into arguments with her because it would impact my own mental health.

My mother refuses to use the camera function on her iPhone (I gave her my old one) because she says “someone somewhere” will keep all her pictures. She is convinced someone wants to see 900 pictures of her dog ig.
