I’m shopping for a new suit, and although SuitSupply is a little below the price range I’m considering, I figured I’d pop into their store at Brickell City Centre in Miami to get a sense of the quality.
As soon as I walked in, a woman greeted me and asked how she could help. I started describing the style of suit I was looking for, but she cut me off, turned over a phone, and presented me with a QR code stuck to the back.
I scanned it, but cell service in the store was terrible and the page wouldn’t load.
After standing there for about 30 seconds staring at a blank browser, I asked if I could just speak with a salesperson and look at some suits.
She told me they needed my email address or phone number to pull up my customer profile.
I’d never shopped at SuitSupply before, so obviously I didn’t have a profile. Presumably they wanted to create one.
I asked her directly whether providing this information was actually a requirement to receive help in the store. She said yes.
At this point, getting increasingly irritated, I told her that since the page wasn’t loading, and I wasn’t particularly interested in providing my information anyway, I wasn’t going to do that.
She curtly replied, “Have a beautiful day,” and gestured toward the entrance.
So I left.
Am I crazy for thinking it’s ridiculous that I can’t walk into a clothing store and speak to a salesperson without first handing over my contact information?
I realize I’m probably being a little petty, but this experience has pretty much guaranteed I won’t be shopping at SuitSupply anytime soon.

As the title states, I thought my new tv would work out of the box, but it wont let me use the smart tv or even set it up properly without downloading and connecting the tv to the ”Smart Things” app and force agreeing to several ToS. If you try and skip it, the tv functionality is heavily restricted.

Maybe someone has a workaround for this but to me it seems like I have no choice.

Edit: Most suggested returning the TV while others are positive they all are like this (all new smart tvs). However some users suggested there was apparently a workaround by doing a factory reset, pressing right button and setting up without internet connection. This works fine, none of the smart features in the TV is available this way but I prefer this solution over selling myself out to some big Corp. Thank you for this info!

TLDR; my brand new Samsung tv wont function correctly unless I agree to shady spying ToS and connect to a personal account via an app on my phone.

Every Wednesday this grocery store changes its weekly sales items. I would go into the store's app to clip the coupons for the hot ticket items for that week. I needed sliced bread and the coupon was for the 20oz size of a particular brand of any flavor/variety. This store always has issues with not updating their sales in their system so I would have to show the employee my clipped digital coupon and they would manually adjust it after confirming.

Well this one employee looked at the bread and said "It's the wrong size. You grabbed the 4oz size" and that's why it wasn't going through. She clearly missed the "1lb" and only looked at the "oz" number. I explained to her that it says 1lb 4oz which equals 20 oz but she wasn't getting it. Finally another employee came and adjusted it for me.

on normal days I don’t eat more than one meal a day but when I drink a few drinks I can eat like 5 buffets. now I’m $120 poorer, drunk, and my stomach is killing me. yes this is my own fault, I’m infuriated purely at myself and nobody else.

I wish I didn’t get soooo hungry while drinking, I think I need to not drinks I’m a 21 year old girl going out solo in hopes of what lol?

edit- for everyone saying this wasn’t $120…I got 2 cocktails, chicken wing dip, loaded nachos, mac and cheese, 16 wings/fries with 5 cups of blue cheese, and a cookie skillet with ice cream for dessert.

edit 2- currently 7am. I got home around 2am, watched x files, then fell asleep. Now I woke up and am struggling to fall back asleep but also having a wicked stomach ache. Also, to everyone saying I have a drinking problem, I get 1-2 cocktails maybe once or twice a week, but I also get drunk very quickly. I don’t drink at home or anything like that, just when I’m out. anywho I don’t think I’m an alcoholic I’m just a pig.i do think there’s worse things I could do while drinking, I don’t get angry or cause issues I just eat and cry.

edit 4- I drink and eat so I can forget the only man I’ve ever truly loved, yet it doesn’t work because how much must I spend in order to not remember? With that being said, I gotta sober up and feel better because a friend of mine is taking me to a singles event tonight (not like love will ever exist for me again but I get to dress up)

For context, I worked anyways from 2-10. She was supposed to be in from 4-12. She texts me around 3 asking if I can close, I assumed that she meant she just needed to be home earlier and would work 4-10 instead, so I said yes. 4 pm comes, then 4:15 I text her asking if she's still coming in because she's never been this late. She says she's not gonna make it and I can call someone else to come in. SHES the store manager. Not me. I get paid minimum wage.

So I called our GM, explained, and then learned that she didn't tell out GM she was calling out either. Just me. So she's rushing to find one of the three people listed to come in. Its a busy rainy night, at an escape room, on a Friday. We are packed. I was lucky the rush didn't start until around 6, which by then the calvary had already arrived and the night went smoothly. Still irritating though.

I’m currently on a work trip and decided to check out this viral spot famous for those hyper realistic fruit shaped cakes. The shop looked absolutely gorgeous inside! In hindsight, the biggest red flag should have been that the cakes were just sitting out on a decorative turntable instead of being refrigerated especially since the one I ordered had a mousse and brownie filling. Keep in mind I literally paid $16 for this...

I brought it back to my hotel, got settled in, and went in for my first bite. The moment I got close, a puff of mold spores literally popped right into my face. I looked down, saw weird spots, and decided to crack it open. To my absolute horror, it was a full blown biology experiment on the inside. 

I called the owner and left a voicemail. He called me back within five minutes, profusely apologizing and promising it would be handled immediately. But then he threw me off by saying I could have done anything else instead of coming straight to him, which honestly made it feel like this has happened before.

I took my refund, but looking at how deep and widespread the growth is, there is zero chance this accumulated in just a day or two. Definitely debating whether I need to loop in the health department at this point.

edit: The owner was grateful I called him. "I'm glad you called me, you could've gone anywhere with this is and I appreciate you allowing me to fix it. This will be handled appropriately"

I have a medication I take daily, while taking it I’ve had to increase the daily dose. At one point I just switched to 36mg and was given a 90 day supply by the specialty pharmacy. During the first month the doctor increased the dose again leaving me with 2 unopened bottles. There are several charities that accept unopened bottles of medication and get it to people that really need it. Considering that the cheapest you can find one bottle for is 12k on good Rx, I’m sure these would help someone significantly. When I tried to donate I was told it is illegal to donate medications that were paid for by Medicare (I’m disabled). So instead of helping to improve someone’s life, my only option is to trash tens of thousands of dollars.

We took our car in to investigate an electrical issue, and this was one of the service items their service department proposed.

Every time someone places a sign we have to take it up, this is the collection so far.

Well this sucks(pun intended), only reason i’m cracking(pun intended) these jokes is so that you guys can’t do it first.

My life is a major shitstorm right now, to top it all off i was trying to remove this phone holder from my windshield, and the suction is so strong that it cracked the windshield. Amazing work.

Anyone know how I can remove this thing without it taking glass with it? It’s like trying to lift Thor’s hammer.

Ordered them straight from walmart for delivery, they showed up with clearance stickers for more than half off 🤦. Should i contact customer support and try to get the difference refunded, or is that even worth it with walmart?

A few days ago, I was helping my mom clear out some wasps on the front patio. There were a lot more than anticipated, so, when I sprayed them, they all flew out and started swarming around. Not wanting to get stung, I ran around the corner of the house to get inside. Unfortunately, my right foot hit the ground the wrong way and I ended up getting a minor sprain.

I’ve been trying to keep it elevated and icing it when I can but I have stuff to take care of, such as my dogs, laundry, and other housework, so I’ve been moving around a fair bit.

Last night, my mom noticed that my right foot is still swollen, and, when she said something, I told her that it still hurts a bit. She told me that she feels that it’s not getting any better because I’m spending too much time with it elevated and not moving around.

I tried to explain that it’s taking a while to heal because I’m still having to do stuff around the house but she doubled down and said that I’m relaxing too much and not moving around enough.

This is probably gonna sound dumb but it still annoyed the crap out of me. So I’m at the grocery store doing some quick shopping. I’m super hangry because it’s nearly 3 PM, I haven’t eaten all day, and I just left the gym. Poor life choices on my part, but I digress. I end up grabbing a rotisserie chicken some greens, and fruit before heading out. As soon as I get to my car, I clean my hands start going to town lol. No shame in my game I was literally starving. Mind you, I also parked hella far from the building because I knew I’d need a few minutes to eat before driving home.

Well two minutes into my late lunch, I get a harsh knock on my window from store security telling me to move along. Ummm, excuse me? I’m sorry, but what the actual fuck? Maybe I’m being overly dramatic here but it irrationally pissed me off. Partially because I’m knuckles deep in a rotisserie chicken, but also because they knocked on my window way too hard, I just spent over 100$ in your damn store and it’s not like I was even taking up a prime spot since I parked in the back. It sounds ridiculous but I genuinely think I’m changing grocery stores because wtf?

Went to an Italian restaurant to get a quick lunch/dinner pizza before checking out of my hotel and going to the airport.

Waitress walks up and asks "can I get you started with something". I reply "just water is fine". She wants to know "sparkling or still or tap". As soon as I hear the first two options I immediately start to answer "still" before processing that there is a third choice. As she walks I say I think to myself that maybe I should've gone with tap, but I figure it's okay, I can pay a few bucks for a small water bottle.

She comes back with a full freshly opened liter (1.06qt) water bottle and pours me a glass. I think to myself "surely not...".

Having drank exactly one glass of water by the time I'm done with my pizza, the check comes out and sure enough, Acqua 8.00.

I ask "you're charging me for the whole bottle?"

"Yes, that's the only size we serve, sorry. But it's okay because, see, you can put the cap back on and take it with you". It's not a plastic cap. It doesn't actually seal.

I'm sure that will work great in my luggage.

Note that every table in this restaurant has a small size bottle on it (probably .3 liters or there about) of this exact same brand, with a flower in it.

Anyway, am I the idiot for not realizing that I was going to get a full bottle? I would've hoped she might say something like "since you're just by yourself, are you sure you want to order a whole liter bottle of water?"

But nope.

Anyway, it's fine, just mildly infuriating to me.
