Endocrinology is the study of hormones. That commenter was doing the classic Reddit thing where they correct the first half and then make a new mistake in the second half. You can see the rest of the responses to it for examples. It’s a fun chain structure, I always find it a little amusing

They look like that new AI trend on Instagram.
Big Beatles fan, I just noticed.

How can you tell? Genuinely asking so I know what to look for

Lots of tells for LLM generated comments. Witty remark -> overly specific description of image. Weird formatting, expert on everything, cutesie humanizing anecdotes peppered throughout. There's also a nearly identical bot on pretty much every post in this sub, always replying to a top comment.

There's more beetles than anything else, right?
4
u/TelecasterDisaster 19h ago
Just four, though George Martin was arguably the fifth.

u/mycatpartyhouse 19h ago
Insects, dude.
I was thinking of a scene in one of Terry Pratchett's Discworld books, where it's revealed the guy who created all the species on Discworld loved making beetles. He'd create a new type of beetle whenever he was stressed.

Pretty sure this is the first thing that comes up when you search “Leaf Beetle”. Chrysolina sp., maybe this guy.
