science savvy 🧬 The left side represents the most common false memories from the Mandela Effect—a psychological phenomenon where large groups of people share the same vivid but incorrect recollection.

i think it’s cuz Mr. Peanut has a monocle and they both wear top hats

Same with the Loony Toons / Froot Loops confusion

The cornucopia and Berenstein ones i absolutely remember

Kit-Kat with the hyphen & Chic-Fil-A without the k look more correct to me

I’m too old for Pikachu, and am pretty sure it was always Oscar Mayer

…and it was always Looney Tunes cuz they were the counterpart to Merry Melodies

This 100% and people are mixing up the spelling from the much more recent Tiny Toon Adventures from 1990.

honestly, i thought it was shortened from the word ‘cartoons’

I agree that’s a phonetic possibility, but we’re talking logos here.

It was never written “Looney Toons”, thus why I’m saying people are combining “Tiny Toons” & “Looney Tunes” when they think it’s the incorrect logo on the left.

Edit: clarity.

Yeah the Looney Tunes Mandela is way less common in countries where “toon” and “tune” are pronounced differently

Which countries are those?

Who Framed Roger Rabbit probably contributed to this too!

It’s also easy to see how weird your spelling was when you were younger if you have writing or drawings from when you were a kid - I’ve looked at some of my old comics from back then and I’d sometimes spell the same word different ways within the same sentence. I’m guessing your internal spelling sticks within your mind, especially since these are brands you’d be familiar with as a kid, and you don’t see them again till pointed out or when you look closely which is when you see you were mistaken or become arrogant insisting the world has switched universe.

There is one piece of orange monopoly money from wayyyyy back that he has a monocle, but its only the one bill and like no where else lol

4

u/Guiggi Mar 25 '26

It’s definitely Mayer. It’s in the bologna song

u/Painted-BIack-Roses Mar 25 '26

I remember the monocle and I'm not an American so the Mr.Peanut one can't apply to me

4

u/yougotyolks Mar 25 '26

"Chic" is pronounced "sheek" so it wouldn't make sense for it to be Chic-fil-A.

6

u/idiveindumpsters Mar 25 '26

That’s why it stands out in my memory. I made fun of it when I first saw it. How can chicken be chic? Do they wear designer clothes? What a dumb name! I went home, told my husband and friends and we all laughed about it.

I know who he is now, sorry. I was just making the point that I grew up with monopoly man having a monocle, and I definitely couldn't have mixed him and Mr. Peanut because at that time I'd never seen or heard of Mr. Peanut.

Why are people downvoting me? Lmao
