Stumbled upon this while clearing out the attic.

She visited my primary school in Edinburgh shortly after releasing TPS. The girl in front of me (my friend and train-to-school comrade) was Southeast Asian and has an incredibly elaborate sounding name. When Joanne screwed up her face when my friend gave her her name for the signature, I laughed. This is how she decided to sign my copy.

There was a violent guy in my class who had that issue with pronouncing rs and someone told me to tell him ‘raspberry ripple’s ready’. I assumed he was getting food or something, not even thinking it could be a huge risk, then I repeated it to him. The next thing I knew, I was flying through the air and smacking into a wall while he fired kicks at me as I tried to get up. I didn’t even know I’d done anything wrong.

Also, the irony is that I had this issue myself and had to spend years training my mouth to say r properly.
