"weak"
Edit: guys if you remember science class this is just a joke

u/RoutineCloud5993 Jun 09 '26
In the cosmic scheme of things gravity is pretty weak
24

u/Thelastshada Jun 09 '26
But it is infinite.

If you call gravity weak, you just don’t understand the gravity of the situation you put yourself in

I'm waiting for the comment saying that this fun thing is actually a sign that you're dying or something
328
u/IAmAnObvioustrollAMA Jun 09 '26
Its a sign that OP is full of hot air.
38
u/dixiech1ck Jun 09 '26
Or hair has static electric charge, tossed it up and it stuck to the ceiling.
16
u/Silver4ura Jun 09 '26
This is a much more rational solution in response to a comment I liked better because it was funnier. How dare you. /s

Shhhh.... you are ruining my bit with your facts!
HEY GUYS THAT OLD WINDBAG MADE A HOT AIR BALLOON!!!
2
u/pm_nachos_n_tacos Jun 09 '26
Yes! Or even rolled up a piece of tape and stuck it to the ceiling like millions of house party planners for decades 😂

u/Terrible_Ear3347 Jun 09 '26
Someone mentioned that it was probably electromagnetism feared my first concern was that it meant that his house was full of a gas that is heavier than air. That would have been That would have been very bad but considering there's still alive assumingly then everything's fine

That isn't a funny joke anymore, what with the way Millenials are dropping like flies from early onset rectal cancer.

It’s never lupus. Except that one time.

Or you rubbed it across your hair a bunch of times and stuck it on the ceiling. Science.

Static charge is doing that, not your breath.
3
u/udreamtofmelstnite Jun 09 '26
I mean it probably wouldn’t be doing that if he hadn’t blown it up with his breath.

It's not floating. It's stuck to the ceiling because of static electricity
1
u/caleeb_tyler Jun 09 '26
How did it get up there tho
5
2
u/xhyenabite Jun 09 '26
you see those two things protruding from your hips? and the two things coming from the sides of your torso?
3
5
u/ayu_xi Jun 09 '26
Shouldn't be possible tbh. Balloon compresses air and it's always heavier than surrounding air.
3
u/petey78729 Jun 09 '26
Stick a finger in your anus and one up your nose, if you feel air you've got a loose screw somewhere.
8
u/sufferIhopeyoudo Jun 09 '26
Wish you made it clear they were two different fingers and at the same time, now my nose smells like shit, thanks a lot pal

So you didn't in fact rub it on your hair and stick it to the ceiling?
2
2
u/fantasticmrsfox4 Jun 09 '26
It floats, therefore you have helium inside you. Most logical answer and I shan’t hear otherwise

So you exhale helium? OP, are you an alien? If so I bow down and welcome our new overlords. Whatever sabotage you need me to perform to smooth the way just say the word. Whatever you want just don't disintegrate me!

Were you high? Marijuana vapors are scientifically proven to be lighter than rocks, so there you go...... is that a dinosaur? I think there may have rock in my marijuana.....

are you exhaling methane?
1
u/Stilcho1 Jun 09 '26
silly, no one exhales Methane. probably Hydrogen.
1
u/Clear-Suggestion-361 Jun 10 '26
well yeah, a lot would have to be going wrong for someone to exhale methane in an amount capable of doing this…some people do in fact exhale methane(along with the standard gases) something like 30-40% of the population iirc

I know a lot of people are saying static, but like, what if the air in the house is full of something heavier than their breath?
1
u/47153163 Jun 10 '26
It’s static electricity. The same thing happens when you put on a new sweater and your hair stands up. Or when rub your socks on the carpet and then touch someone or a metal object.
1
u/EdinburghNerd Jun 10 '26
This has got me thinking, if you held your breath to warm up air, then released it into a balloon, could the difference due to the air being warm and lighter very temporarily create enough lift for a balloon? Like a hot air balloon.

u/zemele Jun 10 '26
I read this as "I blew up a balloon using my last breath and it's floating" and my dumbass was like guess it wasn't your last breath if you took a photo and could upload it dumb fuck.

I ain’t buying it. EM force is about 1 trillion trillion times stronger than gravity however, the relationship is inverse squared with regards to distance and the amount of charge that a balloon and the ceiling have is beyond minimal.
I think this guy is exhaling helium, and helium is in very short supply worldwide.

It is just sticking there because of static electricity. I’ve had the happen a lot with balloons.
