humankind hiccups 😅 Tongue tissue after eating too much Sour Patch Kids

As title says, I ate too many sour patch kids and I believe the citric acid caused the top layer of tongue to die and peel off in this interesting pattern. No pain whatsoever throughout process. No bleeding either.
And for anyone curious, it was a small 12 oz bag I believe. I rarely ever eat candy and I forgot to brush my teeth that night so I’m assuming that’s why it happened in the first place. Picture of my tongue right afterwards somewhere in the comments

They’re booing you, but you’re right. On his left side, top teeth, just beyond the front ones, you can see the bright white buildup between his teeth. Nbd, he still has very nice teeth! But they are indeed in need of a clean. Which makes sense after eating enough candy to strip his own tongue lol

I also find it interesting that we can see which side he usually chews on; his left teeth are worn down more than the right. The canine on his left isn’t long and pointy like his right, and if you look at his front teeth, they gradually slope upward and shorter as you scan from left to right (his right to his left). That makes me think he may have a cavity or two on the right which he’s trying to avoid chewing on, or some sensitivity or some other issue. Idk I ain’t no dentist, just a noisy Redditor lmao

What does the "tongue tissue" feel like? Because what u/Bad-Sans-Team said sounds legit, but I would think how it feels would make it conclusive either way
