humankind hiccups 😅 My cycle has been off this past month, and apparently, according to Google Trends, so has everyone else’s!

Post image

I did some quick research, and there was an unprecedented spike in searches for irregular periods over the past two months. So, it seems to be a universal thing.

That's super weird, mine was several days early this month and I'm usually like clockwork.

I skipped mine for multiple months and then suddenly just got it back this month. ]: This feels ominous lolol

I’m in perimenopause and same thing

Somehow the fact that there’s a hand full of us who suddenly got it after not having it ON TOP of a bunch of cuties getting theirs late is way spookier. And I just finished excited-hand-talking-explaining to my partner how a tiny fish just passed a consciousness test, and how colonies of moss balls are moving like animals in herds, and joking that “hopefully Mother Nature gets pissed and turns on us; I’d welcome a little chaos at this point”. So… yeah if Mother Nature is coming for us, itv was my genie wish. MB everyone. lol

Mine came back last month 6 months after giving birth. Then I had spotting halfway through. Now I’m waiting to see when the next one hits…

Hi I like moss. Please tell me more about these moss balls moving like animals in herds or where you found this, I must know more. (I know Google exists but tell me about your thing because humans)

Oh wow I would LOVE to give you my very human explanation; then I’ll link a source so we can test my memory. SO the gist of it is that these colonies of incredibly specialized moss are growing on rocks on melting ice glaciers, in a perfectly even coating covering every surface of each rock. Sounds boring at first but it’s actually insane because the colonies survival depends on the rock moving/rotating to expose every side to the sun before the shaded area could die off and take the rest of the colony with it bit by bit. When they started studying these “moving” moss rocks they at first discovered what they hypothesized originally; which was that the ice melting in the sun around the rocks, would leave them on ice pedestals that they would eventually roll from, which starts their momentum.

Where it gets super fun is that while mapping their movement, at a certain point they stopped just simply moving downhill from pedestal to forming pedestal, but as a group started making coordinated left turns. Ya know… like a herd :) Learning that on the tail end of the smallest fish to date passing the mirror test; I’m kind of hoping Mother Nature dramatically intervenes in current global affairs soon. But my hippie ass digresses lolol :) ok ima find and add an article link below. If you need any additional wonderment to add to your day let me know and I can also tell you about the possibility of discovering new colors, or about the space born jellyfish.

Thank you so much for sharing! This is so fascinating! I love the glacier mice and I am so glad to have the knowledge that they are MOVING TOGETHER. That's so wild. I love moss and I will happily take this information to mean that the moss is working to fight back against all the harm we have done. The article link worked perfectly! Thank you for the happy news. I must remember to follow up on this and see what else they discover about the glacier moss. Science is cool. Nature is magic.

I’m in peri and mine shows up every 21 days now. Can I get on the skipping trend please? 😭

1

u/hyrule_47 Aug 27 '26

I went on HRT and it helped so much

2

u/purplevanillacorn Aug 27 '26

Yup yup. On it for a year. I am on the highest dose of estradiol that I can tolerate. Hasn’t fixed that issue sadly. 😭

1

u/hyrule_47 Aug 28 '26

Do you take progesterone? I needed that

2

u/purplevanillacorn Aug 28 '26

Yup! Every night. It’s my fave haha. Makes me nice and calm and sleepy.

1

u/hyrule_47 Aug 28 '26

I think it makes me anxious. I wonder what that says about my brain

1

u/leeleelala9 Aug 27 '26

Literally the same happened to me. No period from March to July, when usually im like clockwork. Then I had it normally the past 2 months, although it was insanely heavy.

1

u/2mmGaussRifle Aug 27 '26

I haven’t gotten mine in months! Really hoping it comes back soon. Glad to hear I’m not the only one.

25

u/summerjonn Aug 27 '26

So was mine! Four days early at the start of the month and again four days early now! Never happened before.

3

u/BeefSupremesDildo Aug 28 '26

Wth. Me too. I was just marveling at having 2 periods in one month. Both 4 days early.

1

u/BeefSupremesDildo Aug 28 '26

And mine just started today.

1

u/fryreportingforduty Aug 28 '26

Same here! I’ve NEVER been early. Late a few times but never early by a week. Started spotting yesterday.

8

u/montanabluez Aug 27 '26

I had two this month. ON BIRTH CONTROL. I’ve been on birth control for over a year with no periods and got two this month. Told my gyno and she said “yeah, that happens sometimes.”

Cool.

7

u/eldest123323 Aug 27 '26

Wait. I was also early this month by about 4 days and I am typically very regular. What in the world lol

3

u/Gingerbread_Cat Aug 27 '26

Mine was 10 days late, last 4 days, stopped for 8, then started again.

2

u/Smooshydoggy Aug 27 '26

Mine was 10 days early!

2

u/roxasmeboy Aug 27 '26

Mine was early too. My cycles are inconsistent, but they are rarely less than 30 days. This cycle was a whole week earlier than the last one at 26 days.

2

u/kiscsibe Aug 27 '26

mine was extremely early as well, like, 11-days-after-previous-period early

2

u/Thesladenator Aug 27 '26

Yeah my period is usually with the full moon (sounds wack I know) but it came 2 weeks early. Really weird. Now I'm not in tune with the full moon 😞

2

u/accidentalscientist_ Aug 27 '26

I got my first period in years (stopped birth control), got an IUD after and was bleeding after that. The bleeding from that stopped. Now I’m bleeding again 😪

2

u/Miss-Chanandler-Dong Aug 28 '26

WTF. I'm usually regular TO THE DAY and my period was 7 days early this month

3

u/-Twin-Flames- Aug 27 '26

Oh wow, mine didn’t come at all! (I’m pregnant)

1

u/Swomp23 Aug 27 '26

You ate a lot of argentinian beef lately?

1

u/OiFelix_ugotnojams Aug 27 '26

mine's on time exactly on the day my app predicted it, like usual

1

u/Sensitive-Range-2901 Aug 27 '26

Mine came quite a few days later than usual which was weird for me

1

u/sxlor Aug 27 '26

Same! 4 days early

1

u/Walks-w-1-Mocc Aug 27 '26

Yeah, mine was a week early, and then it proceeded to last for 19 days. I have never in my life had something this off happen, cycle -wise. It does feel ominous.

1

u/Lo__________ Aug 27 '26

Same it was so weird!!!

Mine was early for the first time ever, and I take the pill….

1

u/Ewhitfield2016 Aug 28 '26

Mine too, but way late. Normally im the first to start in my house, but my sister started a few days go. Ive been showing every normal sign of period minus the blood. Definatly not normal for me

1

u/ResponsibleDouble180 Aug 28 '26

Mine came more than a week early so I had TWO this month. Literally never had anything like that happen before.

1

u/83rdstreet Aug 28 '26

I am on time too but it was nine days delayed 😩

1

u/Sailfin_CritterMaker Aug 28 '26

Mine is still on time but it didn't hurt and that's super weird

I have Endo and the first day hurts so bad I walk hunched and can't eat or drink normally. Not complaining about the lack of paint, but all of the sudden? It's surreal to me to be menstruating and there's no pain. I kept expecting that it's just around the corner about to hit me and it's just hitting later than the blood flood. But it didn't happen

1

u/BiologyBooksBeats Aug 28 '26

Same! And my flow was very different. 3 days of spotting, only 2 days of light flow, then 2 days of spotting. One of my oddest.

I'm never late. I was 30 days late. It came on day 30

u/Illustrious_Money_54 Sep 02 '26 edited Sep 02 '26

Same mine was five days early which is a once a year occurrence for me. Noticed it started on the full moon on Friday (in Aus)

1

u/lazorback Aug 27 '26

Same, got mine 5 full days early. Crazy
