Reddit cant handle any raw meat, except sushi. Look at any tartare post. You'll see tons of comments crying about how disgusting it is.

Also, any time something that is broadly popular among certain people is brought up, there is a subset of commenters who absolutely have to let everyone know that they really, really don't care for it.

Other examples are the "oh sportsball is on" comments on sports threads or the "who?" comments every time a celebrity is mentioned somewhere. They just have to let everyone know they are special for not enjoying something the mainstream enjoys.

While I understand your concerns, parasites in Mett are basically unheard of in Germany. The pigs, the pork, every step of the production process is a positive example of excessive overregulation in Germany. Mett and tap water are often joked about to be the safest consumables here.

I dont think there are hundreds of ppl in the hospital yearly cuz of tap water.

The people are in hospital because they didn't keep the Mett cool.

Bacteria and parasites are two different things.

You can look up the stats on Trichinosis cases in Germany per year, somewhere in the single digits, most of them not from commercially sold pork.
