Nah, he's just met his new friend Dave who's stuck behind the glass, says nothing and follow his exact moves.

They may fight later, but it’s up to Dave to make the first move.

If I looked that good, I'd always be looking in the mirror too.

most animals, including birds, dont recognize/understand they are looking at their reflection.

They think its another bird. Look up the mirror test. I believe the eurasian magpie was one of the few animals to pass. Even crows, despite their intelligence, have generally failed the mirror test.

Some pigeons can also recognize their reflections.

Edit: they have to be trained, though. It's not something they do naturally.

The birds in the image appear to be Blue Dacnis (Dacnis cayana), also known as the turquoise honeycreeper, belonging to the tanager family (Thraupidae).

Ps I downvoted you because there's literally a link at the top of the post comments that shows you the google reverse image results. Of which I posted the results of above for you.

When they pin those automod comments on every single post, they become background noise so quick I haven’t event realized they are used in this sub in years 😅

And you got downvoted for being a jerk despite the helpful info. Do better. ☺️

Birds are like that. They're like, "Hey, it's another bird!" And they'll carry on a conversation with their reflection.
