Having way too much fun with this. The trim and edges aren't perfect, but by the time I'm done with this it's going to be so full of junk I don't think it'll be noticeable.

Another tiny room, and now I’m staring at the furniture

• Upvotes

I’ve realized the furniture is the first thing I notice in miniature house kits now. Not how many pieces there are, just whether the room feels like someone could actually live there. A nice shell with a couple of generic-looking objects inside feels weirdly empty to me, while a tiny chair, shelf, table, or kitchen detail can carry the whole scene. I’m getting pickier about this than I expected. When you’re looking at a miniature house kit, what furniture details make the biggest difference to you?

Help Good tamiya extra thin cement alternatives that are easier on the lungs?

not native englishj sorry for mistakes. use tamiya extra thin as my plastic glye and it works great, but I've recently have medical issues and every time I use it I cough my lungs out. Had a few nice days outside where I tried to use it but even on a table outside on a nice windy day it still irritates my lungs sadly. Tried the low odor tamiya and it's okay, but it doesn't seem to melt the plastic together well enough. Is there any alternatives that are good at melting that maybe use a different formula?

Critique Wanted Detail work is my favorite!!

I finished repairing the body of the dollhouse and securing it to a board at the beginning of the week. After I touched up the paint and redid the wiring ( old burnt wiring with lead solder, it had to go!) I’ve been able to do my favorite part, being completely insane and nitpicky with 5000 tiny miniature details. I can’t tell if it’s too cluttered

This will inevitably be part of a diorama of a teenagers room (as part of a bigger project overall). Thought it came out pretty cute!

Halloween Paper Minis!

Post image

Working on a seasonal room box and found some adorable printable paper minis on Etsy and thought I’d give it a go! I was super intimidated when I saw the size of the pieces after printing but ended up proud of myself for pulling it together.

Am in no way affiliated with the shop so won’t post here but can share in comments if anyone is interested.

I take a lot of inspiration from my home country Russia! What do you think? This is a hobby I just kind of started, and do in my free time when I'm not working. I'm looking forward to making more scenes!)) i enjoy making pieces from random stuff

Been a while since I've worked on this project. Working on clutter at this stage and also figuring out lighting. I'm likely going to rebuild the whole thing at some point. 3d printed some mugs(from makerworld) and painted them. I think they turned out so good.

Didn't like my first version from last week, so I remake it this week!

The "ingredients" on the platter are:

- Thịt nguội (Vietnamese cold cuts)

- Chả bò (Beef sausage)

- Chả lụa (Pork roll)

- Đồ chua (Pickled carrot & daikon radish)

- Pâté & Vietnamese mayo

Miniatures are in 1:12 scale, made with mainly polymer clay, a tiny bit tissue paper and bamboo.

First Build - Emily’s Flower Shop

I’m so happy and just want to share this with everyone. I’ve long loved small things, and finally treated myself to a kit to try it out. Quickly ended up using my glue gun for a lot of the plants, and see how worth the investment a good pair of tweezers, glue, and sandpaper will make for the next kit.

Rolife Emily’s Flower Shop. Took me probably 7-9 hours total, 5 of them on Sunday because I just wanted to get it done and couldn’t stop.

Had several happy little accidents along the way, which meant adapting to make it my own. Even used a little bit of coffee grounds for some dirt out front. Super stoked.

What does everyone do with their completed kits? My next one is Oasis, and at this rate my house will be full of mini houses hahah
