Is it bad that despite this being in incredibly poor taste, I am slightly happy that the seems to be a Photoshop composition and not AI

Photoshop did not exist when this photo was taken. On real film, with a real camera.

I wasn’t trying to contradict you, edited my original comment to emphasize the word “this.”…was just pointing out the original source for the image!

Speak for yourself, man. I'm still pissed Photoshop put my dad's Letraset and darkroom gig out of business in the 90s. Fuck this lazy digital shortcut stuff.

You ever see a sign in a construction zone that says fines are doubled? This is how it should be for people in positions of power. Police, politicians, etc. they should know better, do better and be better. This is so disgusting. The fact that he was only suspended, and not fired and arrested by this revelation today is shameful on everyone involved. Do better.

Agreed. You took a fucking oath to serve & protect the citizens of your city - the penalty should be double for breaking that. Fuck this guy.

How fucked is it that you can racially profile someone, cut their hair and get away with a transfer to another station ? Piss on a homeless person and you get suspended without pay. The SPVM is going to try to push this one under the rug as well…
Zero consequences for Police.

- On many homeless people
- Took month before this became public
- is on paid leave
- will possibly get told not to do it again
- Got outed by SQ agents investigating right wing cop FB groups for racial discrimination and profiling (not denounced by SPVM colleagues)

Why did they do that??

Cops tend to think they're untouchable.

And unfortunately they mostly are. They can quite literally piss on us and get suspension with pay. Will most likely get a tap on the fingers or be assigned to another area and resume his work. Can hardly think of any other job where pissing on a non consenting person gives you such nice results. I'd for sure lose my position and my licenses to practice my job forever lol.

A US comedian was joking that the only way to get a paid maternity leave in the US was to be a cop and to shoot someone. It sets the tone.

There is a very unfortunate psychological effect where positions of power actively attract individuals with a high propensity to abuse power, and power itself can corrupt or amplify antisocial tendencies.
There is a popular saying that says ''Absolute power corrupts absolutely'' and while studies show this isn't entirely accurate, the more accurate term would be ''Power attracts those that are easily corrupted''
Positions in Law Enforcement often attracts those individuals. And it really doesn't help that in some countries such as the US, officers in training are basically ''programmed'' to feel like they have absolute authority and absolute power, and being challenged about it can quickly render them super volatile (because it goes against how they're ''programmed'')

The meme is how the trickle down economics works which in theory means, make rich richer, they'll pass their overflowing wealth to bottom, thus benefiting everyone. But in reality, it works like in the picture.

I'm still confused as to why he hasn't been charged? Does this mean I can piss on people and not go to jail?

Imagine what they do without anyone finding out. Disgusting that these criminals will get less scrutiny and consequences than a person praying

You think the cop was trying to pee in an alley and wasn't aware that someone was lying there?

u/AlmostThere4321 1d ago
No.
He filmed it and shared it to a private group chat that got infiltrated by the RCMP. And the RCMP alerted the SPVM.
So again, no.
