12

27

u/tony_boloanie 18h ago

Surf and turf stew

4

u/elvis8mybaby 15h ago

Add some seamen fresh off the docks!

4

u/thesullier 16h ago

Goddamnit! How did the bear obtain a submarine? It's been extremely entrepreneurial, sir!

Stockton Rush cameo confirmed

1

u/aut0matix 13h ago

I am imagining Will Ferrell's dialogue about the tuna from The Other Guys here

1

u/pilsner_89 15h ago

He’s got a lot of experience! You might even say he’s a grizzled vet

1

u/revdon 14h ago

The secret to Burgoo ain’t just squirrel, you gotta throw in some ground hog- er, groundhog.

Pirannhaconda

Super Croc

Pteracuda

Ghost Shark

Sharktopus

Sharktopus vs Whalewolf is a personal favorite.

6

u/revdon 14h ago

And yet my screenplays for Kangarantula, Gorillama, Echid ‘n’ Playtapus, and Battle Axolotl go unproduced. FML

•

u/Perpete 3h ago

I'll pitch 2€.

6

u/rum-and-coke 10h ago

Deep Blue Sea

2

u/th3r3dp3n 6h ago

Sure, all 3 films. The last 2 really had no budget, and are really bad. The original is a fun shark romp.

5

u/seusilva77 9h ago

Sharcula too

1

u/th3r3dp3n 6h ago

Well, then we should add:

House Shark

Avalanche Shark

Snow Shark

Sand Sharks

•

u/Balorpagorp 3h ago

Electric Boogaloo?

8

u/ScurvyTurtle 16h ago

Lake Placid?

5

u/th3r3dp3n 16h ago

Of course, they made like 5 of them. There is also a cross-over movie with the anaconda franchise.

6

u/gh0u1 14h ago

That is actually wild. The first one was such an unexpected delight though, hysterical and endlessly quotable

3

u/chantsnone 15h ago

lol I want to know the backstory of a shark turning into a ghost

13

u/MrMcBunny 15h ago

•

u/Perpete 3h ago

I don't remember the story, but as far as serie Z, it was a fun shark movie.

1

u/Santanoni 14h ago

You'll find out in the sequel, Ghost Shark 2: Fishing for Love.

0

u/cjacksen 12h ago

You know Jaws 3? It's like that, but the ghost is Jaws son.

1

u/Pardybro911 11h ago

No kraken? For shame

1

u/SharkeyGeorge 11h ago

What about Mega Shark v Giant Octopus? 🐙 🦈

9

u/Thin_Historian6768 18h ago

3

u/MHanky 17h ago

Don't forget Nemo and Dory.

3

u/flashaguiniga 17h ago

Think Bruce fits in here more. Maybe without the fish are friends not food mentality

7

u/tehachapitotonopah 12h ago

We need a full movie with the monster menagerie from the end of Cabin in the Woods.

u/Kainzy 1h ago

Hollywood: “Sure, we listened to all the fans valuable feedback - here’s another Jason Statham film!”

•

u/to0easilyamused 4m ago

Hey, Jason Statham may play the exact same character in everything he does, but at least he does it well! Man found his niche and he’s sticking to it.

6

u/JasonVorhehees 18h ago

Don’t forget whalefall now

7

u/xKronkx 17h ago

I’m still mad Whalefall isn’t about a whale falling from space.

8

u/SonovaVondruke 16h ago

Oh no, not again.

2

u/ThunderBobMajerle 16h ago

The Expendables 4

31

u/johnnycoxxx 11h ago

3

u/pnmartini 11h ago

9

u/Zombie_Tech 18h ago

That leg twitching gets me every time.

2

u/pilsner_89 15h ago

Man. I’m stoned right now and laughing my ass off at this.

I read this in the sense of permission to engage in intercourse

“That person may be fucked”

u/Ok-Pomegranate-4963 18h ago

I really liked the first 47 Meters Down film, thought it was very effective. I have massive fear of deep open water, so it got me. & of course the sharks were an added bonus. Can't really remember the second one, but I've only watched it once. Looking forward to a part 3, but there are umpteen different shark films out already, most of which I've watched.

11

u/bunsprites 6h ago

The only thing I can ever remember from the second one is that I think they're exploring sunken ruins, and one of the sharks outright growl roars like a lion.

•

u/You-Get-No-Name 4h ago

There’s also a screaming fish.

•

u/havensk 2h ago

And sly Stallone’s daughter being in it

6

u/RedRox 12h ago

Yeah , same i thought i was very suspenseful and the sharks were done very well and the story line had a few good surprises . you never knew if the crew on the boat were just gonna leave them for example.

•

u/JayBondOF 58m ago

The scene where she swam to that pillar and lost her direction of where she swam from was nauseating with how much dread that filled me with

173

u/UrguthaForka 18h ago

Look at his eyes. Black eyes. Like a doll's eyes. Doesn't seem to be livin'

31

u/Visual_Bluejay9781 18h ago

20

u/name-classified 18h ago

4

u/Dragon_Small_Z 17h ago

Why are you talking about rats?

9

u/UrguthaForka 16h ago

I'm not talkin' about pleasure boatin' or day sailin'. I'm talkin' about workin' for a livin'. I'm talkin' about sharkin'.

5

u/guillotine4you 16h ago

Here’s ta swimmin’ with bowl legged women

•

u/duckpath 10m ago

Are you talking about Conan O'Brien?

12

u/BusinessPurge 16h ago

Patrick Lussier directing, could go either way! Plus the future Zelda actress and the main guy from Office Space

•

u/ASuarezMascareno 5h ago

A father and daughter scuba diving to explore a shipwreck, get trapped after an accident. Low on oxygen, they must escape the labyrinth and evade deadly sharks using their renewed bond.

I'm reading the synopsis and I think I've watched at least 2 movies about people getting trapped on a sunken ship, with almost no oxygen, and sharks around, in the last year or so.

9

u/uberJames 15h ago

Love me a "big budget" shark movie! Anything that has enough faith behind it to earn a theatrical run.

7

u/xelrach 16h ago

Have they considered hiding inside a whale?

4

u/Left_Composer_6449 18h ago

Of course there’s a third one

27

u/Tafsern 11h ago

As computer generated as can be 🤷‍♂️

9

u/UnderwoodsNipple 18h ago

"He's right behind me, isn't he?"

3

Shark swimming in the data center water

3

u/Alone_Insect_5568 18h ago

Aw, he just wants a hug.

11

u/SignificantArtHeist 18h ago

Are these things scary anymore? Has there been a single surprising moment since Deep Blue Sea?

9

u/braves-geek 12h ago

The Shallows is a great shark film. Equally suspenful and unbelievable

13

u/Comrade_Falcon 12h ago

Are we out here pretending Deep Blue Sea was scary and not unintentionally funny throughout the entire movie.

5

u/WanderWut 7h ago

Nah dude my parents let me watch it with them as a kid (for some reason?? Same with The Grudge?????) and that movie freaked me out so dam bad lol. The one saving grace is that one scene where someone undresses for some reason.

3

u/Comrade_Falcon 7h ago

The female lead undresses down to her bathing suit or underwear or whatever (previously being in a wet suit) in order to stand on it so that she would be insulated and then uses an exposed live wire to electrocute one of the sharks in the water near her.

2

u/WanderWut 7h ago

That was the scene lol.

3

u/Zap_Rowsdower23 12h ago

Deep Blue Sea 3 is genuinely good

•

u/surreptitioussloth 3h ago

deep blue sea was funny on purpose too

•

u/SnesVHS 3h ago

Beast of War is without a doubt the scariest shark film I've seen. Highly recommend it. The shark is 100% practical in pretty much every single shot, and I can't even describe just how terrifying it looks, haha. A fantastic movie! Scary, gory, and also surprisingly funny at times.

2

u/Pickupyoheel 15h ago

They need to go up instead of down

2

u/shanksisevil 9h ago

Just touch it on the nose and it will be fine

4

u/luckypoint87 14h ago

That's literally AI slop

3

u/Focused_Sky 18h ago

Whale fall at home

3

u/braumbles 18h ago

Really milking this. I suppose we'll see a Fall 3 too, even if the 2nd one didn't make shit.

6

u/smokingace182 18h ago

Already been announced 😂😂 filming starts next year

1

u/saraqael6243 15h ago

Looks like The Meg, Jr.

1

u/8rianGriffin 12h ago

Couldnt they go 20 meters deeper?

1

u/Different-Produce870 10h ago

Getting 2000s straight to dvd vibes with this picture

1

u/Dhorso 7h ago

Bruce the movie: The Relapse

1

u/bonsai1214 7h ago

Yay, they’re making another one. Movies like this and Fall are fun rides that are simply enjoyable. The flare scene in the first film is absolutely terrifying. They got the claustrophobic feel of being in dark water with limited peripheral vision because of the goggles just right.

•

u/pembunuhUpahan 4h ago

Why are sharks always depicted as bad. Shark aren't that bad in real life. Humans kill more sharks and sharks killing humans

•

u/Gabarne 3h ago

Legit forgot about these movies, didn’t know they were making another one.

The first 2 were very watchable, so def gonna check this out.

•

u/juniebee_jones 3h ago

I’m stoked I loved those movies

Cartoony

-3

u/No_Salamander_8137 17h ago

I've been soooo over shark attack movies since jaws 1975

0

u/Turbo__Sanwich 15h ago

The cartoon sections of these animated movies are getting worse and worse

0

u/red_fuel 9h ago

Let me guess; Jason Statham is in it?

-1

u/JesT_Weird 14h ago

"Wreck" is gonna describe this movie's performance pretty solidly.

AI - making mediocre mass production readily achievable.
