QUESTION MPC 3.9 Arranger
Before 3.9, I’m pretty sure you used to be able to clear out segments of a single track in the arranger. You would set the loop, go to edit, and one of the buttons would clear only the events in the selected track in the selected loop. Now, I can’t find a way to clear events in a single track. It just cuts all of the tracks from the selected loop. Any way to delete from a single track? This was how I arranged beats.
I know a potential workaround would be to build the beat in the clip matrix and then drop it into arrange but that’s not what I’m used to (might have to get used to it)

Can't you also just hit the "erase" button (at least on MPC One).... It only applies to content in the loop bar of the selected track.

You mean like a sample loaded to audio track or midi notes in a clip? On the edit window, select the the pencil icon and it will have track specific context menu pop up where you can double, halve, clear, etc. in the clip.
If you mean individual midi notes in the clip/arranger window you can select the note lane, then hold shift and you get things like copy, paste, and delete.

I’ve been trying to find this out also but it doesn’t appear to be possible in this way . I’d love for some one to say I’m wrong

The pencil icon on the right hand side of the edit screen has context specific commands in it like clear, double, halve, etc.

I’ll try this when I get home today. I hope they will make it easier to clear tracks individually in the future because that seems like an easy quality of life update.

To clear events from just one segment/track in MPC 3.9, open Edit → More Options → Clear Events, then set the track and bar range.
Clear a selected track and range
• Use the older Clear Events menu: In Arranger, tap Edit, then the bottom More Options button. Choose Clear Events and specify the track and bar range you want cleared. `"if you hit edit - the button all the way at the bottom is more options - this brings up the older menu where clear events comes up and you can specify the track and ranges of bars there. the older menu is just a bit hidden now."
Quick alternative
• Erase within the loop: Select the track, set the loop to the segment, press the hardware Erase button, then confirm with Do It. `"Can't you also just hit the "erase" button (at least on MPC One).... It only applies to content in the loop bar of the selected track."
