[FOR HIRE] MSP automation contractor (Rewst / n8n) — PSA/RMM integration, onboarding/offboarding, licence reconciliation | Remote | Contract

Most MSPs have a handful of processes that only work because one tech remembers the steps. I build those out as a subcontractor, so your team doesn't have to find the time.

I already do this for two US MSPs. Builds I've run in production:

  • Onboarding/offboarding: PSA ticket through to a provisioned M365 user, the right licence, RMM org and policy, and a checklist back on the ticket. Most of the work is the failure path: Graph throttling, expired GDAP tokens, RMM auth errors. Those land as a ticket note with the raw error, not a half-provisioned user.
  • Licence reconciliation: Pax8 invoice vs what's assigned in each tenant vs what the PSA bills. Catches NCE mid-term changes and stale agreement quantities before invoicing goes out.
  • Security alert triage: Huntress and SentinelOne alerts enriched and deduplicated into the PSA, so one incident is one ticket with the context a tech actually needs.
  • PSA hygiene: ticket triage, auto-close, company mapping, stale-ticket digests.

Platforms: Rewst (in production since January 2025) and n8n. ConnectWise PSA, NinjaOne, Pax8, M365/Entra via GDAP, Huntress, SentinelOne, PowerShell. 18 years in enterprise IT.

How I work: read-only access first, a written definition of done before I build, and documentation your L2 can use to restart a workflow without me. If something won't work in your stack, I'll say so in the scope, not halfway through the build.

Remote, contract only, fixed price per workflow or hourly. Atlantic time, full overlap with US Eastern.

DM me your stack and the one process that currently lives in a tech's head.

[FOR HIRE] 14 Years MSP Experience | M365, Client Implementations, Service Delivery & Operations | Full-Time | Remote / Open to Relocation

I'm looking for my next full-time opportunity after 14 years working in MSP and IT environments. I'm currently in Northern California, strongly prefer remote work, but would consider relocating for the right position.

My career has taken me from help desk and technical support management into Microsoft 365 consulting, account management, project implementation, and building the internal systems that help MSPs operate more effectively.

A few examples of what I've actually done:

  • Managed 30 client accounts covering approximately 400 users across nonprofits, law firms, medical offices, and other professional services organizations. Served as the primary connection between clients, help desk, engineering, and leadership.
  • Led four client onboardings, each involving approximately 90 days of coordination, technical implementation, communication, and follow-through across multiple departments.
  • Built standardized onboarding resources including client communications, documentation, end-user training, and security awareness materials. These became reusable resources for other account managers.
  • Implemented ScalePad Lifecycle Manager and developed standardized QBR processes, assessment workflows, and reporting systems for strategic client planning.
  • Built AI-assisted reporting workflows that transformed raw technical assessment data into consistent, audience-specific presentations. An IT director needed the technical details; a CEO needed to understand business risks, priorities, and costs.
  • Coordinated and executed technical projects, working directly with clients and internal technical teams to define requirements, resolve blockers, and keep work moving through completion.

On the technical side, I'm comfortable with Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID, Intune, Conditional Access, MFA, Windows Autopilot, Power Apps, Power Automate, and the usual mix of MSP tools and SMB infrastructure. I've also worked extensively with Autotask, Datto RMM, ITGlue, and technical documentation.

What I'm looking for:

I'm interested in service delivery, technical account management, implementation/project management, IT operations, or Microsoft 365 consulting. I'm open to both hands-on technical positions and roles that combine technical knowledge with coordinating people and projects.

I particularly enjoy walking into something complicated, figuring out how all the pieces fit together, and building a process that makes everyone's job easier.

I'm based in Northern California, available for remote opportunities nationwide, and open to relocation for the right fit.

[FOR HIRE] Los Angeles / San Fernando Valley – Onsite IT Field Services | MSP Subcontractor | 15+ Years Experience

I'm the owner/operator of MicroDataLogic, an independent IT services business based in North Hollywood, California, with over 15 years of professional IT experience.

I provide reliable onsite technical support for MSPs, IT service providers, and corporate IT teams needing local hands-on assistance throughout the greater Los Angeles area.

Services include:

  • Desktop/laptop troubleshooting, deployment, and hardware replacement
  • Rack-and-stack, server and network equipment installation/replacement
  • Switches, wireless access points, UPS systems, and physical connectivity troubleshooting
  • Smart-hands/remote-hands support for remote IT teams
  • SOHO router/firewall configuration, VPN setup, and network troubleshooting
  • Workstation moves, printer support, and equipment maintenance
  • Basic equipment documentation, labeling, and cable organization

My focus is hands-on IT infrastructure and end-user support rather than structured cabling or specialized enterprise network engineering.

Availability: Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM Pacific, with onsite arrival times coordinated based on location and scheduling. After-hours and weekend assignments may be arranged in advance.

Service area: North Hollywood, San Fernando Valley, and greater Los Angeles. Travel arrangements for more distant locations can be discussed individually.

I'm interested in establishing ongoing subcontracting relationships with MSPs and IT service providers needing a dependable local technician for scheduled projects, recurring visits, deployments, or occasional onsite support.

I personally perform the work and am comfortable coordinating directly with remote engineering teams, following established procedures, and providing clear service documentation.

Feel free to DM me to discuss your onsite coverage needs.

Should I work an MSP

I'm 26 and I've been working as an IT support Specialist for a year at a small healthcare organization making 55k a year, I also have a bachelor's in computer systems.

I recently received a $70k offer for an IT Support Technician role at an MSP. It seems like an opportunity to learn more and work with different environments, but I’m concerned about the workload and potential burnout. They mentioned opportunities to move up, though I don’t know how long that would realistically take. I've also been selected for a job in the US Air Force for Systems Administration Specialist, and it ships out on December 8th.

My long-term goal is to move into systems administration, network administration, or cybersecurity. I’m trying to figure out which path would give me the most relevant experience and put me in a stronger position a few years from now. I understand that both MSP work and military assignments can vary a lot.

Which option would best further my career

[HIRING] Solutions Architect ‌

Hey everyone!‌

One of the roles I'm currently looking for is a Solutions Architect based in NCR and Cebu, and I think it's a great opportunity for IT professionals who enjoy solving complex business and technology challenges.

We're looking for someone with experience in enterprise infrastructure technologies such as servers, storage, virtualization, networking, and security, who can work closely with clients to design and recommend the best solutions for their needs.

What I like about this opportunity is the exposure to different industries, direct client engagement, and the chance to be involved in both solution design and implementation.

If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, or if you know someone who would be a good fit, feel free to reach out. 😊

[Hiring] Traveling network and audio installation technicians — January 2027 US projects

We are building a roster of individual field technicians now for paid, project-based installation work beginning in January 2027 at customer sites across the US. Projects involve network and audio equipment installation alongside a technical team. Travel expenses for approved assignments will be covered. The rate is negotiated for each project based on scope and experience. There may be repeat assignments, and a permanent opportunity could be considered later.

If interested, send this account a Reddit Chat message with your city/state, relevant network and audio installation experience, travel availability, earliest availability, and expected project or day rate. Brief examples of similar onsite work are helpful. Please contact us as an individual technician rather than as a staffing or subcontracting company. Customer and business details will be shared during direct screening.

Pretty much what it says on the tin. If you need someone to handle out of hours tickets or you wrestle with repetitive admin tasks that could be automated. I'd even love to hear about any companies that already have sourced this kind of work externally and how the connection came about

Job Opportunity - MSP Level 3 Network Engineer, Chicagoland (3+ Yrs MSP Exp Required)

We are looking for a seasoned level 3 with MSP experience. Please reach out if you would like to apply.

Netsphere Technologies, Inc. | Buffalo Grove, IL 60089 area | Full-time | Hybrid, must live in the Chicagoland area, with regular on-site client and project work

Pay: $90,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year

About the Role

This isn't a typical Level 3 ticket queue position. You'll be one of our final points of technical escalation, leading complex network and infrastructure projects from assessment through completion.

We've been in business for 23 years. Our clients typically range from 10–100 users, and we standardize environments using mainstream, best-practice solutions to ensure predictable, secure, and reliable networks.

Location & Schedule

•        Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

•        Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation: one week of nights and weekends coverage approximately once every 6 weeks. We generally get less than 5 calls a week.

•        Based in the Chicagoland area, with the ability to travel to client sites as needed

•        This is a field-based role. We have no central office, so time not spent at client sites is worked from your own home base in the Chicagoland area

•        Some engagements may require being on-site at a single customer location for a full work week at a time (e.g., project cutovers, migrations, on-site assessments, or emergency response)

•        Project work will occasionally fall on evenings or weekends (not every week, but candidates must be willing and able to work outside standard hours when a project or emergency requires it)

•        Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

What You'll Do

•        Serve as one of the final points of technical escalation for complex, hard-to-diagnose issues

•        Design, plan, and lead networking and infrastructure projects including segmentation, routing, switching, and firewall/network assessments and building the project plan directly with the client

•        Run client-facing infrastructure assessments and translate findings into a scoped project plan

•        Support multiple client environments and switch contexts efficiently

•        No task is “below” this role. You must be comfortable picking up a Level 1 or Level 2 ticket when the team needs it

•        Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers, serving as one of the team's go-to resources for complex issues

•        Assist with client onboarding and infrastructure projects

•        Own the rollout of new endpoint and network deployments across client environments, and periodically audit them to catch and close coverage gaps such as missing or offline agents, unpatched devices, and misconfigured network equipment

•        Own and maintain technical documentation and SOPs in our documentation platform (documentation-first mindset required)

•        Meet directly with vendors when their product support is needed during a project

•        Provide on-site consulting, project leadership, emergency response, and hardware support as needed, including extended on-site stays at customer locations when a project calls for it

Required Qualifications

•        If you're currently not considered tier 3 or higher then this role isn't right for you

•        5+ years of IT support experience

•        At least 3 years of IT MSP experience (required) — this means providing outsourced IT support to multiple external client businesses, not an internal IT role at a single employer/customer, even one where you personally handled many different services or tasks

•        Strong troubleshooting methodology and root-cause analysis skills

•        Demonstrated experience planning and leading networking projects, including writing project plans and running client assessments

•        Experience with RMM tools and ticketing/PSA systems

•        Excellent phone presence and professional communication skills, including direct client and vendor communication

•        Comfortable supporting users at all levels, from executives to non-technical staff

•        Willing and able to work occasional evenings/weekends for project work, and to travel to local client sites as needed, at times daily

Technical Experience Required

•        Networking: VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, and network design/troubleshooting (required)

•        Microsoft Windows Server administration — AD, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP: 5 years (required)

•        Microsoft 365 tenant administration, including SharePoint and OneDrive: 5 years (required)

•        Comfortable working directly with hardware/software vendors on product-specific support issues (required)

The Environment You'll Support

You don't need experience with our exact tools. If you've worked in a comparable MSP tool stack, you're a strong fit.

In general, our environment includes:

•        Windows Server and Windows desktop environments across a range of client sizes, on enterprise-class server and workstation hardware

•        Microsoft 365 / cloud productivity (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams)

•        Enterprise network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points from HP, Ubiquiti, Meraki, and SonicWall

•        Endpoint detection and response (EDR) / endpoint security platforms

•        Email security and anti-phishing filtering

•        VoIP / cloud phone systems

•        PSA/RMM and remote support tooling

•        A dedicated documentation platform

What This Role Is — and Is Not

This Role Is:

•        One of the final escalation points for complex technical issues

•        Independent, hands-on MSP leadership on the technical side

•        A role with real project ownership from assessment to project plan to execution

•        A mentorship role where you'll be the resource other engineers learn from

•        Part of a small, close-knit team where egos don't get in the way of pitching in wherever the team needs help, regardless of title or level

This Role Is Not:

•        A position for someone who thinks certain tickets are “beneath” them

•        A 9-to-5-only role, since project work will occasionally require evenings or weekends

•        A desk-only role, since on-site work at customer sites is regular and expected

•        A pure architect/engineering role with no hands-on ticket work

About Netsphere Technologies

Netsphere Technologies is a stable and growing MSP serving small and mid-sized businesses across the Chicago area. Many of our clients rely on us as their fully outsourced IT department. We support networking, security, internet services, VoIP, email, hardware procurement, and day-to-day IT operations.

Compensation & Benefits

•        Pay: $90,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year

•        401(k) with 3% match

•        Health insurance

•        Dental insurance

•        Paid time off

•        Bonus pay

•        Retirement plan

[For Hire] Experienced Former MSP Owner (20 yrs) Looking for Low-Hour W2 Side Role — RMM/BMS/Back-Office/AI/Web — ~5 hrs/wk

Former MSP owner with two decades of daily hands-on experience looking for a small, consistent W2 engagement.

I ran my own MSP for 20 years and still live in the technical and operational weeds. I’m not looking for a full-time seat or a career change—just a reliable part-time W2 role (~5 hours per week / ~20 hours per month) at $1,500/month. I don't need or want to be under a retirement plan.

What I can actually do:

  • Deep, daily operational knowledge of most major RMMs. Specifically strong with NinjaRMM (inside and out) and Addigy (inside and out). Comfortable with the usual stack of others.
  • Kaseya BMS and typical MSP back-office setups (quoting, invoicing, agreements, reporting, etc.).
  • QuickBooks and the accounting/operational side of running an MSP.
  • Coding and automation — happy to build internal tools, scripts, or workflows.
  • Website work — I can build, manage, or improve client-facing or internal sites.
  • AI implementation — setting up bots/agents to handle specific tasks or act as virtual employees for ticket triage, documentation, client comms, etc.
  • Consulting for MSP startups or growing shops that need process, tooling, or operational guidance without a full-time hire.

I’m flexible on the exact mix although I don't want to handle direct tickets or deal with end users. Happy to assist other employees with tickets / projects. RMM/BMS administration and optimization, automation projects, light consulting, website work, or AI task automation are all on the table. I work independently, document thoroughly, and don’t need hand-holding. I'm extremely organized and detailed.

Constraints (non-negotiable):

  • Must be W2 (need proper payroll direct deposit).
  • Target ~5 hours/week or 20 hours/month.
  • $1,500/month pay.

Open to after-hours or flexible scheduling. Based in the Dallas area, but do spend time in Scottsdale.

If you have a need that fits (or know someone who does), feel free to DM. Happy to talk through how I could add value without becoming another full-time headcount.

[FOR HIRE] Outbound Sales & Appointment Setting Team for MSPs | US & Canada

Hey everyone,

I run a B2B outbound calling operation, and we're looking to partner with a few MSPs that want to grow their client base without hiring a full-time SDR team.

What we can handle:

  • Targeted B2B prospecting and lead generation
  • Cold calling business owners and IT decision-makers
  • Qualifying prospects interested in managed IT services, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, etc.
  • Booking discovery calls with your sales team
  • Follow-ups, CRM updates, and call tracking

We have a calling team and our own lead generation infrastructure. We can work with your existing prospect lists or help source new businesses in your target market.

Our focus is straightforward: start conversations with the right businesses and get qualified opportunities in front of you. Your team handles the technical discussions and closing.

We can cover US and Canadian business hours and are open to starting with a small pilot.

If you're an MSP owner looking to build a more consistent outbound pipeline, send me a DM. Happy to jump on a quick call and discuss how we could work together.

MSP Looking for a Low-Voltage Partner?

My strongest partners are MSPs. I build and optimize the networks, and they manage them. I also provide troubleshooting support whenever the job requires it.

If you’re an MSP owner in the LA or Orange County area and need a fully insured, California‑licensed low‑voltage contractor, send me a DM.
For projects outside those areas, availability depends on the size and scope.

Any referrals you send my way earn a 10–20% profit split. I’ll send the customer a proposal and provide you with a separate breakdown showing your share.
And if I meet a client who doesn’t already have an MSP, I’ll send them directly to you.

Please visit my website for all the details and service I provide. https://skaicloudnetwork.com

Hiring: Senior MSP Engineer - Remote U.S. - $120,000-$140,000/yr

Role Summary

The Senior MSP Engineer (L4) serves as the senior technical authority and highest level of engineering escalation. Reporting to the Director of IT, this role provides technical leadership across the engineering organization, establishes engineering standards, mentors engineering resources, and makes or guides complex technical decisions across Microsoft cloud, infrastructure, networking, and security.

The role is also a key technical leader for customer projects and change initiatives - providing architecture, solution design, technical scoping, BOM/SOW input, and implementation leadership while working closely with Agiliant's Network & Security Engineer, Systems Administrator Engineer, NOC, Microsoft CSP, SOC/MDR, and implementation partners. While the domain engineers focus primarily on the ongoing health and consistency of managed environments, the Senior MSP Engineer provides the senior technical leadership, architecture, and project expertise that moves those environments forward.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

  • Serve as the highest level of technical escalation for complex customer issues and lead root-cause analysis and resolution of critical incidents.
  • Provide overall technical guidance across engineering; mentor engineers and Service Desk staff and help determine when work should remain internal versus escalate to the NOC, CSP, SOC/MDR, or other specialists.
  • Establish and maintain engineering standards, processes, documentation, and best practices.
  • Advise on customer Change Advisory Board (CAB), Security Committee, and AI Committee discussions as appropriate.
  • Participate in technical strategy, roadmap planning, and budgeting with the SAM/client leadership team.
  • Understand how Microsoft ecosystem, architecture, storage, licensing, and solution decisions affect customer budgets and operating outcomes.

Microsoft Cloud & Infrastructure

  • Architect and support Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and related services.
  • Design and administer Microsoft Entra ID identity and access solutions, including Conditional Access, MFA, compliance, and Zero Trust controls.
  • Design, deploy, and optimize Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and Microsoft Defender solutions.
  • Design and maintain Azure environments, including virtual machines, networking, storage, backups, migrations, integrations, governance, security, and cost optimization.
  • Support hybrid cloud/on-premises integrations, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
  • Assist customers with cloud transformation, migrations, modernization, and complex Microsoft troubleshooting.

Project & Change Leadership

  • Lead medium and large-scale customer projects from technical discovery and architecture through implementation and handoff.
  • Act as a broad technology generalist capable of coordinating technical work across internal engineers, partners, contractors, and vendors.
  • Build Bills of Materials (BOMs) and provide technical scoping and content for Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Develop implementation plans, technical documentation, standards, and project deliverables.
  • Coordinate closely with the Project Manager, customer stakeholders, vendors, and implementation partners.
  • Participate in onboarding, infrastructure refreshes, migrations, modernization, and strategic technology initiatives.

Customer Engagement

  • Build trusted technical-advisor relationships with customers while supporting - not replacing - the SAM/client relationship.
  • Present technical recommendations, architecture, and solution designs to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Assist account/SAM teams with technical assessments, solution development, roadmaps, budgets, and business reviews.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of IT engineering experience; MSP, consulting, multi-location, or large endpoint environments strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years supporting Microsoft cloud and infrastructure technologies, with deep practical experience across Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, IAM, Conditional Access, MFA, endpoint security, Windows Server, virtualization, backup/DR, cybersecurity, and networking fundamentals.
  • Proven experience leading technical projects, complex implementations, escalations, and architecture decisions.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, written, verbal, presentation, mentoring, and customer-facing skills.
  • Ability to use AI, automation, PowerShell, and modern engineering practices to improve speed, consistency, and quality.

Preferred Certifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or comparable Azure certification.
  • Microsoft security, identity, endpoint, or enterprise administration certifications.
  • Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Meraki ECMS, or equivalent networking certification.
  • CISSP, CCSP, Security+, or equivalent security certification.
  • ITIL Foundation or comparable service-management experience.

HR Information

  • Full-time, permanent role
  • Salary budget: $120,000-$140,000 annually depending on experience
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Fully remote role - U.S. only
  • Flexible hours
