I don’t listen to either podcast anymore, but I’m just curious if the ladies know they’re officially in the Stephen King universe??

Minisodes are them reading listener stories for 25 minutes, re-wind is them briefly commenting on an old episode, and the main episode is 40-50 minutes of them flatly reading something their researchers put together. I to Page 7 on the LPOTL network (remember, they were initially inspired by LPOTL). They do 3 episodes a week, too. Every episode is over an hour long, it's them having an original, funny conversation backed up with good research. Every host has a plethora of other projects and podcasts to work on, so it's not like this is their only thing (MJ just finished Grad school!!!). MFM has gotten so low effort over the years, and they've been around for less time than Page 7 and LPOTL. It feels like we're supposed to be grateful that K & G grace us with their presence at all anymore. It feels cold and corporate. I still listen out of nostalgia and habit, but it's with a lot less gusto than before. I know they won't change at this point, but it's so disappointing as someone who's been listening since 2018. I look forward to my 3 Page 7 episodes, they still make me laugh like a rude parrot.

ETA: I had no idea my early morning chronic pain rage post would garner this much attention. Sorry to the people who are mad, but you're literally defending millionaires who probably wouldn't give you the time of day if you saw them IRL at this point. To those that agree, I'm glad to know I wasn't completely pain ranting off base! Wish I could say that K & G would change if they knew people saw them slacking, but they're too busy enjoying that sweet, sweet Netflix money. At the very least, they are very out of touch now. Have a good evening, everyone, and remember to get your uteruses checked out if you're having mind altering pain around your cycles and bleeding excessively. Endometriosis adhesions are easier to remove in their early stages, and maybe you won't have to rage at the world every morning like me 💙🩵💙

Like the caption said, I love MFM! Been listening to them since the beginning and I feel like I’ve grown a lot with them.

Anyway, yesterday’s rewind was 2 hours long. Today’s is 40 minutes. I mean, I don’t want to bite the hand that feeds me, but I miss the long episodes. I was able to get all my laundry done because I’d listen to them and get chores done. Now I’m barely getting the first wash out of the machine.

Okay, I’ll get off my soapbox. I will listen regardless because I love these women.

Wanted to post in here since I’m not sure if anyone else has, but this has been going on in Philly for the past few months.

Eugene Albert Horsch has been found to be in position of over a million pieces of digital media that involve graphic images and videos of women; some he may have allegedly killed. Up to 7 missing women have been linked to this house with 5 being presumed dead. His deceased father, Raymond “R.C” Horsch, has also been linked. No human remains have been found at this time, but human DNA has been identified in the home as well as drugs and weapons. Sewers have been excavated and the digital media is still being combed through.

In the replay episode, Georgia spoke of how trustworthy a source reddit was when she wanted to learn more about this case. I don’t frequent any of the true crime subs here, and I’m curious which subs feature the thorough type of research she described? Or was it just a sub specific to the GSK case?

The only time I remember looking for true crime information on reddit was during the Delphi case, and everywhere I looked there was just wild speculation - not in-depth research.

I've been a huge fan since 2021 and have listened to the old episodes several times over. It just occurred to me that there may be more early days live shows posted on the fan cult that I've never heard? Can anyone confirm if that's true? I know they posted a lot of them during breaks, so I'm unsure if there are any leftover?!

Would love to know?? The new episodes have been covering historical people/events rather than true crime and I’m very turned off by it all since that’s not why I listen to the show. I want random niche true crime, not bios/history lessons. There are only so many of their episodes with true crime to re-listen, or re-re-listen to now that they are reposting episodes, and it has been a while since they have put out new content I am actually interested in and in line with their podcast. Overall, rather annoyed and don’t know if anyone else feels the same.

I've been reading more this year (audiobooks, but it still counts!) and I've been keeping track of my books on Evernote (and Hardcover, but I have to make lists on Evernote for some reason).

Anyway, for October I'm doing horror-themed books, and started with I'll Be Gone In The Dark, and I finished it yesterday morning. Then midnight tonight they post the latest Rewind and...it's the episode where the Golden State Killer is caught!

The last book of the month I have scheduled to be Zodiac, so hopefully he'll be caught the day after I finish that lol.

I am really disappointed to see exactly right platforming Redhanded after Suruthi’s incredibly problematic and frequent ‘not all men’ rants.

I highly recommend this limited series about a crazy little town outside of Chicago. It's got Mobsters, Motorcycle Gangs, murder and so much more!

Idk where else to go with this critique. I just watched the ID Aileen Wuornos doc. Instead of normal reenactments, they used ai to map Aileen’s face onto the actors face and bring her to life. To me, the reenactments felt a little unethical and exploitive. Not to mention the actor actually playing the roles will earn no recognition for the part. Maybe I'm overthinking it or just over ai, but it just felt a little gross. What's your thoughts?

I have a close group of girlfriends from all over the country. Some of us have never met in person but we all originally met on the MFM Facebook Fan Page.

Of the five of us, we’re about to have the third wedding since we met and all of us are invited. This is for my closest friend in the group who I’ve met in person several times. I know her family, she knows mine. This is a big deal to me.

I’ve been stalking the website but the “F*ck You I’m Married” Joggers haven’t been restocked. Does anyone have any they’re willing to part with?? I would give her mine but they feature a pretty ridiculous bleach stain thanks to my teenager learning to do laundry….
