Interesting that CENTCOM's update primarily includes items that DoD is only involved in peripherally. DoD leverages kinetic weapons to pressure nations to conform to the will of the U.S., but a status focusing on frozen digital currency (e.g., bitcoin) and that Iran is holding back pay and pensions from Iranians due to a cash crunch is not the confidence inspiring message that suggests the conflict will conclude anytime soon.
Can we agree that the status most really want is when this conflict will end?

Inspired by a post I saw the other day stating you can play PokƩmon Go around the world. I'll go first, saw this at a local game store a couple months ago.

Iām an E-2 in the Navy with orders overseas. My wife is also active duty Navy, and weāre separated but still legally married. She currently receives BAH with dependents, and we have a son who will stay in the U.S. with his mother while Iām overseas.
Iām trying to figure out what housing allowances I could qualify for. Since Iām an E-2, I understand I may have to live in the barracks and might not qualify for OHA.
Would I potentially qualify for BAH based on my son, BAH-DIFF if Iām paying child support, COLA, or Family Separation Allowance? Does my wifeās current BAH affect what Iām eligible to receive?
Has anyone dealt with a similar situation or knows the actual Navy/DoD rules? Any advice is appreciated.

Some of mine are:
been to Guantanamo bay
been through the Panama Canal
crossed the arctic circle and equator on a ship
seen the stars from the ocean on a cloudless, moonless night while the ship had all exterior lights off for stealth
Iād love to hear yours

Good afternoon,
I was just recently informed that I will be submitting a package for an upcoming POCR board. My command currently has no information regarding POCR and do not seem the most informed. After reading through previous posts on here, it seems that some people were able to provide assistance and I was wondering if there was possibly anyone I could ask a few questions to. Thank you!

Good morning everyone!
I have my first Supply OCS appraisal interview this week. Since Iām still relatively new to the Navy, this is a new experience for me, and Iād appreciate any advice on how to prepare.
For those who have already gone through the process, what questions should I expect, and what do you recommend focusing on during the interview?
Any tips or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!

Hey Everyone,
So MNA is opening up this weekend. I have just arrived at my new command about 2 months ago, however I am picking BBA orders this cycle and every other cycle that I am eligible for before I have to retake the RKE. For those of you that have been selected for E6 orders on your first time picking, did you reach out to the command or someone at the command before hand? Do yall recommend that? Iām aware that reaching out and talking to the detailer is beneficial which is fine but I know that commands also have an input in who gets picked. I am asking because for one of the orders that are available I already have the NEC and the warfare device that is required. Any discussion or your experience with BBA is beneficial āŗļø

Hello everybody, I am reaching out regarding a tragic incident with a service member in my family. I am a service member myself and I would really appreciate anybody with any legal background (JAG, ETC.) to please message me privately. It is very important. I have tried consulting legal but I canāt even seek theoretical outcomes from them for my family member and they require him to contact which is not an option right now. Thank you

Is anybody enrolled or have sent experience with this program? Iāll likely be nominated by my provider soon, is been a discussion since I was placed on limdu and Iām looking for some information mainly how it works when being placed in a billet. I know Iāll be placed in gapped shore billets but do I have any say in where I go? If thereās multiple billets open will I be able to choose?

Did they test a bunch of random Sailors to decide how an average 18yo male should perform versus the average 45yo female? How about what constitutes an āoutstanding highā versus āoutstanding medium?ā Or did they just pull these numbers out of their asses?

Trying to make this short, but weāre a workplace of veterans (for the most part) and we are all stumped by this since we were all active duty of various branches and not guard or reserve.
The employee in question has a PiF already for terrible performance and non-stop behavior issues. Now weāre getting a run around that they have drill Monday and Tuesday?
I know special circumstances can happen, and I wouldnāt question it if they were an otherwise solid employee, but Iām suspicious based on⦠well, just how they are and have been.
It strikes me as they just donāt want to have to work through a weekend and are taking us for a ride to give them a free two days off.
I know we canāt ask them for formal orders for drill, but can we legally request their drill schedule? Call their leadership and ask for it if theyāre not compliant?

Everyone Iāve asked, from both DMVs, multiple insurance carriers and multiple service members has a different answer so I figure Iāll add to the confusion and get Reddit to weigh in as well!
We are CT residents with CT registered vehicles and CT auto insurance. We are PCSing form DC (who doesnāt care where your car is registered/insured, as long as you are following the registering states rules) to VA. CT will not allow us to have CT tags without a CT insurance policy.
We donāt want to re register our cars - while there are exemptions for military against personal property tax, Iāve heard that VA will do their hardest to make the process so difficult that people just pay. Additionally, VA wants all jointly owned cars to be registered in VA unless we are both active duty.
Do just bite the bullet and register in VA? Our home owners insurance broker says we have to reregister but our current carrier (USAA) says to just keep it all in CT.
