I will say, the three (basically 4) guard line up was a little rocky but got it together. One thing I dislike… When there are basically FOUR guards out there Wemby should never be the main ball handler bringing up the ball. 😂

From down 8-3 after 5 minutes to an 11 point lead at the half

What a weird website with these stupid fade from black screens. I'm now stuck on this pay screen, don't see how to continue and no idea if the spurs are included with standard or not.

I know the Spurs app has been overhauled quite a bit over the last few months - negatively so, imo. When I looked in the middle of summer, the “listen” button was in the upper-right, & the woai audio came up just fine. However, during last night’s game, I opened the app again out of curiosity, and saw no option to listen to (or watch) the broadcast, only the game flow thing. I know the preseason games are free on DAZN, but that’s just about over, and iirc, iHeart and such do not carry spurs radio broadcasts. If I’m blind, can someone please show me where the listen/watch functions have gone in the app? Otherwise, how are yall listening to games? I know I can get an actual radio if it comes to it, but god, Spurs media has gone to shit

Anyone else not hearing any sound from the broadcast? My tv, phone and laptop have no sound coming from the broadcast. I’m on the app and I’ve tried other content in and the sound works.

I don’t know much about his coaching history or experience. I thought Sean Sweeney last year was huge for our defensive strategy. Is Donovan more of an offensive minded coach?

Been seeing that some brands don’t work and don’t want to waste more time and money. Thanks!

This is a free talk thread, however, the rules still apply, no politics, no religion; be respectful.

All 13 current Spurs players were evaluated using 31 advanced statistics (the earlier thread had 27 stats but Win Shares were added) from the 2025–26 regular season, covering offensive production, defensive impact, efficiency, and overall contribution. Many of these metrics include leaguewide percentiles or ordinal rankings, providing context for each player's performance relative to the rest of the NBA.
The metrics were then weighted based on their relative importance to produce composite offensive, defensive, and overall rankings and percentiles for each player, as shown in the first table. A standardized 500-player comparison pool was used to keep these rankings and percentiles mathematically consistent, roughly excluding the lowest-minute players from the 582 who appeared during the season. Unlike the second table, which uses actual statistical values and their source-reported leaguewide rankings and percentiles, the first table presents estimated composite rankings based on performance across the advanced metrics, rather than scores calculated for all 500 players individually. For example, Wembanyama consistently ranks near the very top of the NBA across the most important advanced stats, making his placement among the league's elite straightforward. The composite rankings become less precise further down the list, but provide a reasonable approximation of where each Spur stands relative to the rest of the league.
The results were compared against four major media Top 100 player lists: The Ringer, ESPN, Bleacher Report, and HoopsHype. The goal was to identify where the statistical rankings align with the media consensus, where they differ significantly, and which Spurs might be underrated or overrated based on their actual production. Unlike the media lists, which can incorporate reputation, future potential, playoff performance, and projected performance, this analysis focuses exclusively on the 2025–26 regular season. The first table presents the offensive, defensive, and overall rankings alongside the media comparisons, while the second provides the underlying 31 advanced statistics.
Conclusions: Unsurprisingly, Victor Wembanyama ranks among the NBA's elite by virtually every measure, with near-unanimous agreement across the media lists. The biggest discrepancies involve De'Aaron Fox and Julian Champagnie. Fox ranks 29th overall statistically, substantially higher than his media rankings of 43rd–53rd, while Champagnie ranks 36th despite appearing on only one of the four lists, at 98th. Both appear considerably underrated relative to their statistical production, particularly Champagnie. Devin Vassell, Tobias Harris, and Keldon Johnson also rank noticeably higher statistically than their media recognition would suggest, although the differences are more moderate. Meanwhile, Stephon Castle and Dylan Harper rank broadly in line with the media consensus.
One additional takeaway: With a standardized 500-player comparison pool, the Top 100 corresponds to approximately the 80th percentile or higher. By that measure, nine current Spurs rank among the estimated Top 100 players based on their 2025–26 regular season statistical performance. That's an impressive concentration of talent on one roster, although Tobias Harris's numbers come from his season with Detroit. It would be interesting to see how other teams would fare, with Oklahoma City being an obvious candidate.

Wemby got voted the best player, Harper the top prospect, and the Spurs were picked as the favorites to win it all, but Mitch didn't get a single vote for best coach 😭

The marketing photos show Carter Bryant and Dylan Harper in jerseys with the numbers centered. The retail versions that consumers can buy are on the Spurs fan ship for pre order and feature offset numbers like in the 1970s.

I love everything about him. I love his big brown eyes, his mega watt smile, his dimples, his Will Smith satellite ears, his toned arms, and long legs. He’s so gorgeous I can’t breathe 😭
