Question (N26) Ash waste chieftain load out?

I'm looking at starting N26 with a nomad gang, but I can't settle on how to kit my Cheiftain out.

I'd like him to be a take all comer kinda guy at range and close up but the house equipmemt list seems a bit lack lustre, and the way he's kitted out in the starter box with a chain lance and mono hooks seems a bit redundant unless I'm missing something. Venom casters look nasty but the template doesnt make use of his better BS.

Any advice would be much appreciated thanks!

Starter box loadout is indeed silly and has always been.
I like chainlance and blast carbine

I have the resin chief so I just went with what he’s equipped with, long blade and venom caster, with a blast pistol backup weapon.

N26 chain lance + blast carbine. During campaign buy dustback hellamite and proper sight for BC. In newmunda there is no restriction for mounts in underhive.
