Miniatures Insane conversion idea for Spyrer suits?
Ok so. I have a spare Saturnine Terminator, and I think without the shoulder pads and with a different head he’d make for a really badass looking Orrus Spyrer. Especially because I don’t like the weird sort of curvy organic Spyrer suits in the box.
Am I totally insane? How does he stack up size wise compared to the large lad that is the Orrus suit? What base sizes do the Spyrers use?

Quick comparisom on minicompare shows the head being somewhat level, but the overal size of the saturnine terminator is quite a bit bigger than an orrus spyrer.

Without the shoulders the Saturnines aren’t hugely much taller than the head and I don’t mind him being beefier if it looks cool! Do you know what base size the Orrus is on?

It’d look cool but they’re huge. The Orrus is more comparable in size to an Indomitus Pattern Terminator or maybe Gravis Armour Marine if you’re wanting something less alien. Maybe remove all the Imperial iconography off one of those then and spruce it up a bit if you’re wanting a less alien looking Spyrer.

That’s really useful to know thank you. Yeah definitely not a fan of the weird alien suit look tbh. Thought about going to town on the Ad Mech hyper tech look but wasn’t super convinced. The Gravis suit without a backpack might work and not be too iconic a Space Marine look.

You could also maybe take a look at the Mechanicum Myrmidons from 30k or maybe the Thallax Cohort. Still very Human sci-fi but will avoid the classic Space Marine silhouette.

It would be absolutely gigantic compared to what it should be
