topsail bluff viewpoint
how dangerous would it be for someone to fall off the topsail bluff viewpoint accessible from near 200 summit drive? i seen a story about someone surviving a fall around there but I was wondering how precarious it is?

Someone did indeed survive the fall at least once! Caved in a good chunk of their skull and it's a miracle they survived.
I wouldn't recommend it.

As a writer I always assume posts like this are from other writers who are planning to push a character off Topsail Bluff, not try it in real life.
Don't try it in real life!

I have never really gone super close to the edge but im pretty sure there is a lower ledge just below the very top viewpoint area, i think I have heard of people falling down on that lower ledge or intentionally going down there.
I wouldnt risk it either way, could bounce a weird way or slip and then you just die. Idk if it woukd be a quick death either, not sure what you would encounter on the way down but id think a lot of banging off trees or cliff edges to the bottom and that might slow your descent enough to die a pretty painful slow miserable death.
