L'Oiseau et l'Enfant (France 1977). I genuinely think that song is an absolute masterpiece.
50 years later the line 'Noir la misère, les hommes et la guerre qui croient tenir les rènes du temps' still kind of leaves me a bit speechless.

Following reactions to my previous post, let me make something clear: these are not all the languages. I don't want each box to be tiny so I haven't added all of them at once, they will be added as the chart progresses. When we reach Zjerm you'll know were nearly done.

I was about to post this one myself. Mon Amour is a great song and Slimane is one of the all time best vocalists in ESC.

I would say "Voilà" o "Regarde!". There is nothing more French than these

I get everyone who says Luxembourg 1965 (Poupee de cire, poupee de son) and France 2021 (Voila), but for me it has to be that Performance by Slimane in 2024 (France). Maybe it is recency bias, but it brilliantly sung and the song itself is so beautiful. It would be Mon Amour for me.
