Broken Behind the Scenes for Happiness in Slavery (1992 - Jon Reiss)

Post image

The death chair has been captured many times. Including this time, with him and his girlfriend and in action in the actual music video of course. I wonder where that went. Probably a landfill. Someone could mistake it for a hunk of industrial junk. Honestly for the vibe of the music video that's not a bad compliment lol.

Trent is nowhere in this photo. Only Bob Flanagan and the torture assistants (evil) who did the props and stuff (excuse for real torture!) I notice one of them is holding a flashlight up to him while the camera is barely in shot. Probably not in takes since the people in frame.

Very cool set.

I don't know if the torrents still exists, but TR and friends purposefully leaked the Broken movie and entire Closure DVD back in 2006.

The chair was taken by Trent to his studio at Cielo Dr. (You can see it here at time stamp 4:40 https://youtu.be/n1LfynKLIUw?is=OfxeXu_P3CgLTSYr )After TDS was recorded he took it to Nothing Studios. I think I read in a book about music video artifacts that it was auctioned of but don't quote me on that.
