So does this mean the road is fully operational for visitors and such? My fiance and I are traveling to nags head and wanted to travel south a few hours for stargazing

Be mindful that it’s a 10 mph speed limit and only one direction at a time. I believe they said directions were changing every 11 minutes but that might’ve changed.

We just came through there. They were packing up the equipment at 6:30. Don’t think it will be finished tonight. Took 2 hours to get through it so hope they do
