You don't understand the incredible accomplishment Valve has achieved with Violet.

So far they have done a pretty good job of tying the personality of the character to their kit in one way or another (silver mains are furries, Yamato are weebs, Bebops are horrible people, ect.).

However, Violet is a special case. Whereas she is an artist they made her personality that of abstract art. In that, the viewer of the art applies the meaning. You are left to your own devices to decipher what her personality is. So you as the viewer apply your own. Personality and view onto her. She is vague and abstract so that you might bring the rest of the pieces of the puzzle together to see what the character means to you.

So of course silver mains are drawing penises with her, bebops can't find any joy in her, and mccginnis mains think she's boring. it's because those are what those people project onto her.

Personally I think she's really cool, intelligent, funny, and downright handsome. If I weren't so busy playing the Lash I'd love to give her a try.

I haven't voted for her once, but the conversation around her addition is so fucking annoying. Let the girl be a college kid that's too in over her head. Not everyone needs to be Seven or Pocket. Oh my god.

I don't say this as a player who only voted for Harrow 200 times to cope with my massively throbbing disappointment.

However, Nurse Harrow knew if Violet was added last then all this hate and disdain Violet is currently bearing would have been left to fester with no way to treat it. As a healer, she knew the cure to rampant onset internet comatoses was to be the cure herself.

Once she unlocks on Tuesday the super majority of disease ridden parasites will be expunged from Violet as they look to Nurse Harrow and announce how amazing and cool she is. Leaving Violet left with the people who genuinely like her and/or like playing her.

Even if there are terminal cases who just can't let Violet go, everyone else will just say, "Yeah I agree, but shut the fuck up about that. Did you see Nurse Harrows ultimate. It's so damn cool!"

Nurse Harrow chose to be last because being last would be the treatment to cure Violet of the infestation that currently plagues her. Yoshi bless Nurse Harrow.

I don't understand why everyone's saying that Violet is an "ordinary" character. She's at least a super giga artist. But that's the problem: she's not ordinary enough, nor is she extravagant enough.

Why don't Valve just make a REALLY ordinary character?

A dude named JOHN who works a 9-to-5 as a pizza delivery guy to pay for college. He only ends up participating in the ritual completely by accident because someone decided to prank-call him and give him the address of the ritual site. And since he only finds out about the wish during the ritual itself, he wishes for a million dollars.

And his kit is pretty standard:

- Rides a bike to gain speed.

- Delivers pizza to his teammates and gets paid for each delivery.

- His ultimate is a "Flash Sale" that reduces everyone's cooldowns.

- And he shoots people with this little coin dispenser thing in the picture below.

It is so nice that she can deny 90% of single target ultis in the game. It is so nice that she has an unrivalled mobility which she can use to rotate ENTIRE TEAM. IT IS SO NICE THAT SHE CAN DENY WALKER WITH A RIGHT CLICK. IT IS SO NICE THAT SHE CAN TRAP YOU IN A PAINT GAS CHAMBER. IT SO FUCKING NOICE SHE IS IN EVERY FUCKING GAME RIGHT NOW AND GOD FORBID YOU DONT HAVE A FUCKING PERFECT TEAM COMMS AND BABA ON YOUR TEAM BECAUSE SHE IS GOING TO FINGER YOU WITH PAINTS AND THAN DRAW MECHA HITLER AMONG US FUTA COCK MONSTER ABOVE YOUR ROTTING CORPSE
