If we lost today and Mateer leaves in the offseason, he would be 0-2.
I can't remember the last QB that was 0-2 (or worse) against Texas. Maybe Eric Moore?
Mateer 1-1
Arnold 0-1
Gabriel 1-0
I don't even remember who started in 22
Technically Spencer Rattler is 2-0, but really he's 1-0 and Caleb Williams is 1-0
Jalen Hurts 1-0
Kyler Murray 1-1 (same year)
baker 2-1
Trevor Knight 1-0
Blake Bell 0-1
Landry Jones is technically 3-0, but he's really 3-1
Sam Bradford is technically 1-2, but really he's 1-1
Paul Thompson 0-1
Rhett Bomar 0-1
Jason White is technically 2-0, but really 3-0
Nate Hybl is technically 2-0, but really 1-0
Josh Heupel 1-1
Brandon Daniels 0-1
Justin Fuente is really 1-1...lost in 97 but came out to replace Eric Moore to win in 96
Garrick McGee might be the only Sooner QB I can think of that started twice (94, 95) and didn't win. But he did tie in 95 under Schnelly.
Cale Gundy finally got a win, 1-2 as starter against UT, but finished the game in 90, drove down the field and Tim Lasher missed a field goal...hard to blame Cale for that one.
So you'd have to go back to Garrick McGee to find a Sooner QB that started at least twice and didn't beat UT.
