I had over 200 of these guys. Had sentinels and land speeders too. I think I had rhinos for them as well.

Iirc they were £9.99 for 36.... That would have been 1988-1990.

Sold the whole army for £300.

It was Tyrannids and Zoats in first edition for me. Don’t think it’s nostalgia but these older figures don’t seem so bloated as modern figures.

Amazing. I used to have these guys for 1st Ed. I never had many as I could not afford them as a kid but I loved them. Do you have any of the plastic troopers?

Yeah 96 of my 150 'Spiders' are plastic bodies from RTB07. I bought my first box just after they come out in 1989. I was hooked, but also very lucky to get pocket money and have part time jobs. It was still really expensive. GW store manager really helped me scrape my first army together. Especially when they openned a guard box just to get spare arms to make 'Confrontation' gangs.

Excellent. Mine were also the Necromundan Spiders. I am very jealous.

Isn't he a medic as well. I might actually own him but he's buried deep in my backlog of old hobby stuff.

Yep, the medic is 1st on the left. All i am saying is if you dig him out you have a really fun model to restore, or its a small fortune.

They all look great, top models and top painting on them too!

Still have almost a complete regiment of these guys. even retrofitted them with the more modern equipment!

Seriously, I must have around 500 of these figures alone and that includes way OOP bikes, jet bikes, land speeders, egg walkers and rough riders.

I think you shoud show them off. (Getting them into a single picture will be hard) I have two oversized platoons, so I am just shy of a full company. "The Lucky Sevens" 12x 10 man squads, 2x command squads, 3x Commanders, 1x Ogryn bodyguard, 6x lascannon, 2x officers on jetbikes and 15x (kitbashed) 'rough rider' jetbikes.

It really helped being a kid with a paper round in 1989! Having way more fun with them now, but if they change squad weapons options again I may just cry.

So they're currently in my mum's old house in various cases and on display shelves. I'm normally through to see her on a Saturday but not this weekend unfortunately. Will certainly post pics when I'm through the next time...

I wish they would re-do these, the classic IG uniforms kicked arse.

I thought the breast plates were a really neat touch, blending modern infantry with Napoleonic style...

The new krieg death riders have similar breastplate armour, just a shame the rebreather box on the front isn't a seperate piece.
