80s Slotta A Bob Olley Classic: The Ogryn
G’day Oldhammerers!
I’ve just called it a wrap on my entry for Olden Demon this year (haven’t had heaps of time to dedicate to it in the middle of painting a Rogue Trader Grey Knights force as well. Pics of that to come…) He’s also the first model for my future Imperial Guard force. Gotta start it with a bang.
This has got to be one of my favourite models of the era now, maybe even of all time. It just oozes character and attitude. I hope you enjoy seeing this as much as I loved painting it!

Fantastic work on this great old sculpt. I wish the modern ogryns looked more like this.

Cheers man! Yeah, they are the Gamers Grass ones. Plus a resin tree stump, of course. I was trying to get semi-realistic undergrowth.

Cheers mate! Yeah, this guy’s great. But the rest of the Olley Ogres/Ogryns are also awesome

Olden, not moulden! Top paint job on a classic model. From back when GW models were not festooned in frippery!!!
