Met Opera Promo Code
Anyone have a promo code for attending this season. Ticket prices are dramatically higher compared to previous years. 80$ for family circle is absurd

The prices in family circle are extraordinarily high this year, over 50% more than last year. I ended up having to buy a subscription. I went to the box office and was told to complain to administration. Customers complaining to the people who set the prices is the only way anything will change. I did get to Macbeth today and it was full, but cosi fan tutte and La Boheme had many empty seats.

Always a ton of empty seats and they don't even care enough to sell them off cheap right before the show.

I know you can get a discount by purchasing a flex subscription (basically, bundle 6 performances and save) but yeah, yikes! Are you sure it's not just that particular show? I know the Live in HD performances are usually more, and I'm pretty sure opening and closing nights for popular operas are, too.

I just got one of those give us your feedback emails after going to Macbeth and buried in it was an offer of 20% off for any other production this season. No idea if the code will work for anyone other than me but here it is:

They are money grabbing this year because of the debt. All previous codes haven’t worked for me

Complaining about the cost of tickets isn’t going to help the Met stay in business. Yes, I guess you want cheaper Family Circle seats, but you also have to understand the Met is fighting for survival. You won’t have to complain about the cost of seats if the place gets shuttered. Instead of whining about ticket prices consider it a donation. Better yet, make a contribution to the foundation.

You really want to talk finances of this place? Let’s discuss Peter Gelbs 2 million dollar salary and the man does nothing but plummet the place into more debt. The financial crisis is more than ticket prices/ unsold seats. They make poor financial decisions because of poor leadership

Do you have the app? There is a very large (maybe 30%?) discount for your first purchase on the app. They really want their customers to use the app but not sure their demographic is into it lol.
