College Football Playoff
I hate to bring this up now, but if we win out do we think we have a shot at making the playoff? Gotta beat Fresno state and Boise state (twice likely). Does a 2 loss PAC team beat a 1 loss or undefeated G5 team???
Go beavs

A stream of good victories all the way to the end would be amazing.

i mean really most of it would be beating boise (probably twice) would give us the edge because they destroyed other G6 contenders

Trying not to get my hopes up lol

after looking at their game tonight, fresno is also gonna be tough but we could potentially throw for 500 yards against them. their corners might as well not exist

I seem to remember when I was a kid Fresno was occasionally a league powerhouse. Man, it would rock if OSU could have a couple statement games against these better teams.
Highway to heartbreak baby!!

Mike Riley is on the selection committee... he may forced to recuse himself from voting for us, but maybe he could make our case? 😂

JMU might be ranked if they win out. Their strength of schedule is absolute dogshit (120 out of 138)
We’re a top 20 team and in the playoffs if we win out.

Playoffs aside, there may be a chance for an Oregon State v Yucks bowl game. Go Beavs

If they do what you said and win all remaining games I think beavers are in playoff. However, after the last few years, I’d be happy with any bowl game and 7-8 wins

The highest ranked G6 team gets an auto-bid. Question is does a 2 loss OSU out rank an undefeated JMU

JMU’s strength of schedule for the season is #120 out of 138. If we beat Fresno State and Boise State twice there’s no question about it.
Plus, Boise State did the hard work for us of clobbering a couple other G6 contenders in WMU and Memphis

Yeah that’s the big question. Got some quality losses with Houston and tech so hope they stay ranked to help our case I guess

Attended yesterday’s game….t time in about 18 years ….a good feeling in the crowd. And what an amazing offense. Will be there for the remaining 3 home games as week!

I think it's a decent chance. If we win-out, and beat Boise in the process, I would say the chances are real.

Hate to break it to you but the pac is the 6th G now. No longer a power conference.
I read if a scenario where OSU gets the invite but a handful of other teams had to lose too. NDSU was one of them so that’s a start.

Yeah I know I was more referencing the other G5 conferences. Seems like the SEC and Big10 are doing some former pac 12 shit and cannibalizing eachother so enough 2-3 loss teams could be a possibility which may bode well for us, but not sure if that moves the needle for G5 teams. Trying to temper expectations but also on the hype train too.

As a UO grad myself, I have to say that if the Beavers win out, they should absolutely be in. And if your QB continues to produce as he has been doing, he should begin to get Heisman buzz. Go Ducks, indeed but; watching these Beavers is exceedingly entertaining.

It would be glorious if Oregon State made the playoff but Oregon did not
One can dream!
