We’ve seen every detail, watched every movie, played every game, and read the lore books inside out. Let's say the series has truly ended and the creator has passed away (hypothetically, of course).
What do you watch next? Is there anything that actually fills that void, or do you just keep re-reading and re-watching the same episodes every single day? How much can you realistically obsess over the same story before moving on?
Since everything ends eventually—and we'll all probably move on to new things in the future—what's your game plan for life after Overlord?

Spoilers for Overlord III
By far my favorite arc of the entire anime was Enri and her growth, specially since she became a brand new variable when she changed the effect of the Goblin General's Horn.
By the time she used the second one it seems like her new Army was probably comparable in power to (or even surpassing) an entire country's like say the empire.
To those that have read the novel I was wondering if you could tell me what happens with her village? Does it become a country and does it get expanded more? I swear I would watch an entire anime of just her.

After some long thought and researching, planning, and practicing...,
I have decided to write my own fanfic/(My-first-fanfic in general that anybody would hopefully bother reading once it's finished so im kind of new to all of this), And at first i got the idea from this post, https://www.reddit.com/r/overlord/s/nGsaoOWDnq,
And found a lot of inspiration and lore idea's and other such stuff,
And wanted to make it about that, (I had made character's and lore and everything), But somewhere in the middle i decided against that and wanted to try something else since i thought a generic staff isekai story would be boring, And the other-option im decided to go with now is much more fun and i think people, (And myself), Would enjoy it much more, (That and i could probably use it to expand on some lore and backstory and maybe make a sequel some-day with the same premise as that reddit-post if i feel like it or get excited enough, But i just wanna make a "game-story", Cause it would be fun that's all, So this is really all just me wanting to have fun writing that's it),
Anyway's what im getting at it,
To not yap and waste anyone's time, I want to make a fanfic about, "Yggdrasil", And it's past day's during operation and i'll try my hardest to keep ainz ooal gown and whatever else they do out of the story and try to stay as "original" as i possible can, But i can't make any promises
Story will most likely take place either some-time shortly after ainz ooal gown's founding and or after the, "Customization update", As i call it, That or i'll just make it up as a go along maybe a anniversary or something, (Not quite sure yet since there's not much a timeline for me to go off of and everything else will just be head-canon-ing and theorizing in a sense),
But basically i need help, I finally finished the character sheet's for my 3 trio of mc's, (The art i simply got off of google so no it's not ai/Im not sure if it is or isen't), Basically i think i messed up on the stat's and class information as math is not my "strong-suit", So i just wanted to ask for some help on fixing the stat's of the two main-character's, (The third-one is made like that on purpose and it's made for lore and comedic purpose's so leave her be), And i just want as much information that not more "well-known", about yggdrasil that i couldn't find in my research, And some help in making there stat's and build's as accurate as one would see in game as i possible can that's all whatever else is greatly appreciated too, And i hope my yap hasn't annoyed any of you all or made you angry/whatever other such negative i could bring,
If your interesting on what resource's i've used to make it i'll gladly share and give it all up along with if your interested of what lore i've built so far and i'd be happy for any idea's or feedback you give me, Even if it's just insult's i'll take it all so i can get better and try to tell a good-story,
So to make a long story either longer or stupidly short, I introduce to you..., THE TREE BASTARD'S!!, (Or the, 'Tres baskellion', (Terra Bastion or Trio's battalion), But you know how fellow-gamer's are with there nickname's, And after what they did they do kind of deserve it..., Expect kira poor girl just got dragged into this out of nowhere).

Like he doesn't seem to have any wasted classes and he is almost certainly level 70-75. Divine caster classes count as magic caster classes right?
He also learnt 10th tier magic and he should be aware of super tier magic from his father.
The only explanation I can think of is him just being dumb and lazy.

I think Gondo will become Ainz's best friend in the future; they have quite a few similarities. It's no wonder Ainz likes him so much.

I'm anime-only, so please spoiler-tag anything from the novels.
Bear with me as this one’s a bit out here but an interesting thought in my opinion. Also I separated them into parts mainly to help organize it and 2-3 are mainly just other ideas/theories that tie in or have already been brought up but make it a bit of a connecting idea.
1. The worlds are connected
The game is named Yggdrasil after the Norse world tree, which connects nine worlds together.
I don’t think that's just flavor text. Yggdrasil, the New World, and Earth are possibly just branches of the same tree, and the game may have been real all along.
That could explain why so much of Earth's mythology (dragons, vampires, undead kings, angels and demons) matches the game. Maybe ancient people caught glimpses of other worlds, and those became our legends.
Look at the worlds we know:
Earth is polluted and clearly dying.
Yggdrasil shut down, maybe actually dying, not just going offline.
The New World is still alive.
If the New World is the "mortal realm" in the middle, like Midgard, it would be the last to rot. Everything that falls out of the dying outer worlds ends up there.
In Norse myth, Einherjar are the greatest warriors, taken at the moment of death and gathered for a final battle.
Players fit that almost perfectly: they're pulled from a dying world at the exact moment it "dies" (Ainz arrived the second the servers shut down) and dropped into the New World at full power.
That would explain why so much power keeps piling up in one place. The New World isn't just where things fall; it's where the strongest beings from every collapsing world end up, possibly for something bigger. Granted we haven’t seen any other connections yet other than the 2 other worlds.
2. One power system, different specialties
New World: the physical side (martial arts, talents)
Yggdrasil: magic and myth
Earth: technology
Locals can learn tier magic from players, which wouldn't work if the systems were incompatible. But they usually cap out low because magic isn't their world's "major."
Ainz casts tenth tier easily but can't use martial arts, so his specialty runs the other way.
Runes and tier magic can exist on the same item, which suggests they share a source. Ainz's attempts to combine them haven't worked yet, but I think the problem is how he's doing it.
Layering is stacking them separately: carve a fire rune into a sword, then add a tier-magic fire enchantment on top. You get two effects side by side, possibly competing for the item's capacity like two apps fighting over the same memory.
Combining would fuse them into one effect, casting the enchantment through the rune so the rune is the structure the spell is built on. It's like plating a metal versus making an alloy: plating is a coat that can crack, while an alloy mixes at the base into something new. If runes are the New World's native "language" for the same energy, fusing them properly could create something neither world can make alone.
3. What's happening to the players
Players get killed off. Every 100 years, powerful players arrive, yet there's no sign of older ones still around, even undead or long-lived races who shouldn't die of old age. In my theory, the New World's strongest beings would see each wave as an invasion and strike first, which is self-defense from their side.
Something is "dealing with" players. Whatever moves players between worlds could be the same force that removes them once they've served their purpose. Or it could be that they are being hunted due to the self- defense idea seeing how it would look like an attack when they appear.
The timing. Players show up on a 100-year ish schedule, not randomly completely random. Might be either how long it takes for the transition or could be another world dying or being near death pushing them into the new world.
Thank you I know it’s a lot to read but curious on what others think.
Thoughts?

Hello people! I have finished the first draft of Yggdrasil, an playable Overlord MUD. Set in the titular game, you can jump straight into an text-based version of the DMMO-RPG.
The game is not complete, only featuring a dozen races and sixty or so playable classes along with a couple hundred rooms to explore. Right now, content starts to get thin after level 30.
Regardless, I hope you would be willing to come and at least check it out at https://yggdrasilmud.online/siplet/index.html

Based on statements by the author of Overlord, Kugane Maruyama, along with editor Akiko Fujita and producer Kazufumi Kikushimura at an event held in Auckland, New Zealand, on September 26, 2026, the Overlord light novel has been quite famous since 2013. This popularity caught the attention of anime studios to adapt the work featuring a skeleton protagonist, a concept that even received praise from the Hollywood film industry.
Maruyama intentionally designed the main character to be extremely powerful and positioned as a villain who is not entirely evil, incorporating the concept of a dual personality that reflects the reality of everyday human life.
Editor Akiko Fujita explained that although Ainz is a villain, he also strives to do his best to be a good leader to his subordinates, making him the most popular character in the series.
The storyline of Overlord itself progresses consistently and exactly as Maruyama had planned since the very first volume.
The popularity of the work is evident from the high enthusiasm at anime conventions in the United States and Germany, where the first volume of the light novel sold out immediately after the premiere of the anime's first episode.
By observing reaction videos across various social media platforms, Maruyama realized that global audiences deeply enjoy dark fantasy plots that emphasize elements of cruelty and brutality. According to him, this is because Overlord successfully explores the dark and damaged side of the human heart, a side that everyone essentially possesses within themselves, yet is unable to act upon in real life.
