NEW RULE: Obviously incorrect answers to parasite queries will result in a 3 week temporary ban
The amount of people who comment on peoples post with not even the slightlest idea of what a parasite looks like is insane. If you don't know parasites do not try to help others. Incorrect answers lead to unnecessary stress and fear for people particularly when there are very very very infrequently actual parasites posted on this subreddit

Reminder, recommending cleansers, or treatments that are not scientificly proven will result in a ban.
If all someone had to do was eat garlic, or seeds or fast, parasites would have been eradicated a long time ago. There are many misinformation resources on this topic spreading their" cleansers" on social media and YouTube and other sources. These are scams 99.99% of time people are taking advantage of others fears, and ignorance on the topic. Suggesting pseudoscience treatments will result in a ban.
People often say "what harm could it do", and my responses, these fake cures made prevent people that are actually suffering from seeking proper treatment for longer periods of time. For instance if someone has cancer and they think juice will cure them they might put off chemo, which could result in the cancer spread while they wait for the juice to work. This is just a hypothetical to State point.
And other instances, there are many people that go to this subreddit that aren't suffering from actual parasites and are suffering from something else. These people will often overuse certain treatments to remediate their pains, suffering, fears. And why many of these cures don't offer outright issue, and extreme overuse can often times create problems that weren't there in the first place. For example extreme washing of someone's skin with alcohol will likely dry it out making it itchier more discomforting which might be the issue the person was trying to address in the first place.

I've given life to Monsters.
galleryI have been extremely ill for the last month with some kind of infection causing lots of mucus in my throat and sinuses, causing me to lose my voice, lose weight, no energy and tired all the time. I just feel like my body is shutting down, every day and all day for weeks I cough up and blow out my nose just the most infected foul mucus. Well two nights ago I blew out of my sinuses or coughed out of my throat what appear to be living creatures. They are small, my camera was magnified to get a better look at them. One is obviously a little worm, it was wiggling and curlying it's tail amd all, but real small and tiny little fellow. The others appear to be some kind of what I am assuming parasites? As soon as they are out of my body, they begin to appear to die, their color changes, and become more translucent where you can see their insides, it's the weirdest thing. I forgot to mention that I don't have much of an immune system due to meds I take for an auto immune disease, I am often fighting infections which are too frequent and last too long. The day after I expelled these things, I felt a noticible better. I am assuming I need to see an infectious disease Doctor? I don't know, any guidence and support would be appreciative. One thing I am worried about from reading others experiences, is being labeled as dillusional, this has kept me from seeking a Doctor sooner, but after this episode, I think the infestation is large enough now. In fact, I have experienced living insects inside of my sinuses, now I understand they can accidently get up there, but this is happening way too often, way too often. Thank you for taking the time to read this and look at my photos, much appreciated.

Parasite cleanse??
I'm debating doing a parasite cleanse. But I want to do one that actually works. Has anyone actually seen parasites in their poop?? And if so, what did you take?

Doctors performed an endoscopy to see if they could figure out where the discomfort was coming from and pulled out a roundworm (Ascaris lumbricoides).

galleryI’ve had pinworms in the past so obviously when I see stuff like this in my stool I instantly become worried it could be a similar situation. Can someone tell me what this is? I don’t think I’ve eaten anything stringy like recently.

p. 16 (section V) pinworm lifecycle question
fyi - i searched through previous posts that included a link to a pinworm faq in another sub but it’s not working -
i’ve had the classic symptoms for 2+ years. i’ve tried the over the counter reece brand medication 2 dozen times, wiped every surface in our home with bleach wipes multiple times a day, shower both morning and night, clean sheets every day, pillows and blankets in the dryer on high… for the second time i’m now on the prescription medication from my doc and have a second dose in a few days. i also sent away for a test from parasite.org that came back positive (although the hubs doubts the validity of the test). and still they persist.
he does not have the itching symptoms so believes he does not have it. he went so far as to get a microscope and slides and did the tape test himself and says he didn’t see any eggs (the tape was not clear it was opaque so don’t know if that inhibits seeing the eggs?)
when someone is asymptomatic, do the eggs not appear? in other words, if he doesn’t itch does it mean he doesn’t have it even though we live in the same house? we do sleep in separate bedrooms but i’ve read it’s impossible for him not to have them and one person can’t get rid of them unless the entire household is treated.
all leading up to my question - why do so many people not have the itching symptoms, do the worms not escape and deposit their eggs?
